WHile I think the Arizona law will be overturned on a technicality...I applaude them for taking the bull (the feds) by the horn and trying to forcing them to do their job...

The feds have been ducking and weaving on immigration for decades...through democratic and republican administrations...and it's time they step up and follow the law...

If it could be overturned they would have already taken action. The few people that were going to file lawsuits stopped IMO because other scumbag lawyers told them they really dont have a case.

The people spoutting off the most about the bill are the kneejerk reaction people that have never read the bill, play the race card and generally talk out their ass while not having any facts to back up their comments.

In 2006, 570 immigration-related bills were introduced, resulting in the enactment of 84 new laws.

In 2009, more than 1,500 bills were introduced, 222 laws were enacted and 131 resolutions were adopted. Many dealt with curbing or restricting benefits to those in the country illegally, human trafficking and other law-enforcement issues.

In recent weeks, lawmakers in at least nine states - Utah, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Michigan, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Maryland and Ohio - have said they planned to model legislation after SB 1070.

The reason illegal immigration is supported so emotionally and vehemently is that it is not the anchor babies who will be deported. It's their parents.
