Ouch, SFA went down in flames. TXST seems to be rolling.

I think it's TXSTs to lose. They only had 2 series they lost this year, UTSA (not in tourney) and SFA. Both 1/3
They took 2/3 from UTA and 2/3 from tomorrow's opponent, McNeese.
Just have to see who wants it more. McNeese is on a roll coming into this. They were swept by SFA in conference play.

Husband changed mind and we didn't go to Houston. It gets a bit tricky as you get older and your friends start to pass away. He's been in a funk for 2 days...which I totally understand.

Anywho, it's pouring rain here and all the way south, past San Antone. Tourney is in a rain delay. I would bet they don't get many games, if any, in today.

Ironic - it's supposed to rain up here, not down there. Anyway, our tournament game, set to start in two hours, is down in the Bay area, and it's sure not raining there. I would think rain would be the least of your worries; there have been tornados just north of you this week.

Thanks but those were about 400 miles from SM and 350 from where I live.

They seem to think they'll get a game in at 6:00 - then maybe 8:30. It's clearing out a bit and going NE. That would put them 3 games behind and possibly have to finish up on Sunday instead.

Game 7 - TXST/McNeese will be at 10 AM Saturday. They plan on 4 games for Saturday and a game on Sunday, if necessary.

I assume game 9 will be at 4 and game 10 @ 6:30 (possible championship game)

PSU took the first game from SMC today, 1-0. A pitcher's duel, with Bernard pitching a two hitter for PSU - she struck out 11. It's a best of three, so all we've got to do is win the first game and it will be over. Good luck on TXST and McNeese.

TXST lost to McNeese in a 1-0, 9 inning pitcher's dual - walk off HR.
Will play in the loser's bracket game @ 3ish vs UTA (winner over SFA - eliminated)
McNeese (#5 seed) came on at the end of the season and is tearing through the tourney.

TXST eliminates UTA in game 9, 4-1. Playing their 3rd game today. They have to win to force a second game for the championship(tomorrow). McNeese wins, it's all over.

Personally I think they could have just moved both these games to Sunday. Instead they forced TXST (could have been UTA) to play 3 in one day, in the span of 8 hrs. There was already the possibility for a Sunday game anyway.

I still think it was shitty to make a team play 3 games in one day.

Congrats to McNeese but I can't say I'll be rooting for them in the NCAAs
