Since you hold Mexicans and such to a different standard... you can't refer to yourself as Irish. You'd have to say "I'm 100% American"... right?

I think BDKJMU is the only one on this site that consistently refers to himself as "American" instead of German, French, English, etc. though.

Which is fine. Most Americans identify themselves by the country their family came from. It's only a recent development (and mainly in the South) for people to identify themselves as "American."



But, y'all get all pissed off when legal Mexicans identify their heritage with where their family's heritage... even if they weren't born in Mexico and have never even been there.

Who is "ya'll"? I don't know anyone who gets pissed off when Mexicans identify themselves as Mexican Americans. As long as they're here legally.
