While I would tend to agree, I think there's been just a few things that boomers have accomplished.

The article seems to indicate that public opinion has now formed a bell curve on this issue, like usual with most any issue. You have the two extremes in minorities, then a more moderate opinion forming a majority in the middle. As the public becomes more educated on the issues this is generally the result.

This is great news. Younger people these days are much more open about their sexuality and sexual practices. They realize that having children is a HUGE financial responsibility/burden and have many birth control options available to them. Because they are likely dismissive of religious based doctrine that preaches the evils of birth control.......they are more likely to use it, thereby seeing abortion as an unnecessary option that does indeed cause emotional pain and life ending results.
