I agree with Barry Melrose's picks, which were made before both conference finals series started. Blackhawks and Flyers take the conference finals, and Blackhawks take the Cup.

I find it odd that they schedule both games on the same nights, instead of alternating them.

The series do stagger beginning with the Game 3's. Eastern goes Thurs, Western Fri, etc. There must have been a scheduling conflict with the arena in San Jose that prevented the West games being played on Monday or Wednesday, which would have been perfect stagger with the East.

The scary thing for Montreal is that they outplayed the Flyers in the first period Sunday and most of the game last night and they're still getting smoked. If the Flyers take a game in Montreal, this series is over.

Hawks up 3-0 on San Jose. 1 win away from playing for Lord Stanley's Cup. I expect a sweep on Sunday. And whoever the 2 were announcing the game on Versus Friday night, were absolutely terrible

Hawks appear to be the class of the field this year. Lord Stanley's cup will be sipped from in the Windy City for the first time in almost five decades. Book it.

Just a huge win for the Flyers today in a very difficult environment. A loss would have meant all the momentum to the Habs.

The Flyers outhustled Montreal from faceoff to horn. Claude Giroux - wow.

Now to try and get the toughest win. Here's hoping we don't pull a Boston.

I'm guessing two nights after the last conference championship is wrapped up, but then again, TV is God, so VS and NBC will have final call.

I'm pretty sure at least one of the Finals games was on Versus last year.
But I don't know the television situation for this year.

According to Wiki, NBC has games 1 & 2 and VS has games 3 & 4, with no mention of 5 - 7. I guess they assume the Hawks will sweep.

Knowing that NBC has game one and two, you have to assume that they will try to get one of those games on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, so depending on when the last conference final series finishes, I'd assume they'd go Thurs/Sat, Sat/Mon, or Sun/Tues for game one and two. Fri/Sun is out, as the three major networks try to avoid Friday nights like the plague.
