Hate blinds you. Specter lost his job because Obama wanted him gone. It's a no-brainer: do you keep a smart, politically savvy, traitor, who is actuarially challenged anyway, in your house or do you replace him with some new, perhaps more malleable, talent? Dropped him like sandbag out of a hot-air balloon.

93henfan is right: AF1 flys in, Obama and Specter eat some soul food in the hood, and Arlen has a job this morning.
You have no idea what you are talking about, as usual. Obama did radio and tv ads for Specter, as well as personal appearances. He didn't jet up to Philly just before the primary because he knew Specter was toast. Until it was clear he had absolutely no chance, Specter was Obama's boy.
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Obama did what is expected of a team player, no more.

Dawg, do you have even a clue how much more credible your post would have been if you had left out the first three words? Accusing those who have different opinions than you of "hate" simply because their line of thinking is incongruous with your own is not conducive to changing heart OR minds.

But then maybe that isn't your intent anyway?
 No CID, why don't you tell us.........

1) His position wrt Obama is not a secret.

2) You can't be serious about coming here to change hearts and minds.

one of his problems is that some democratic voters dont trust him. For people to say he lost because of Obama supporting him, thats crazy, he lost because two years ago he was a republican.

Dawg, I've had my mind changed on two topics near and dear to donks hearts through discussion on this board:

a) Off-shore drilling
b) Same-sex marriage

So, if you have ANY sort of an open mind, it IS possible.

Sounds like a convergence of a lot of things. Anti-incumbancy, anti-Specter, anti old school politics.

PS, I don't think Obama has caused any politicians to lose, Specter included. But from Massachusetts to Virgina, etc. He hasn't helped too many candidates win

AZG I was actually trying to point out that a lot of credibility goes out the window the minute someone starts throwing the hate word around to describe people that have a different point of view.

But that went over Houndawg's head.
