UMass & SIU Tonight...

UMass mens Basketball team opened the season in Carbondale IL last night in the first round of the 2K Classic, topping Arkansas - Montecello...second round is tonight VS host Southern Illinois University...

Monday at Midnight, UMass opens the ESPN college basketball broadcast season, taking on Kansas at midnight EST...

This is only the second meeting between the Minutemen and Salukis on the hardwood. Ths Salukis won the first one in a tournament in Puerto Rico in the late '90s. If memory serves me it was a two point win. I'm looking forward to the game tonight.

Dawgs win 80-73 after trailing by 11 aat the half.

I could not stay up for the entire game...cold medicine is kicking my butt...but I stayed with it through the half...

I hoped that with an 11 point lead, the Minutemen could hang on...

Good win for SIU...and I hope a good learning tool for UMass...
