There was some speculation that he might leave after Armanti left, but clearly he's back for this season. I don't know who would be a suitable replacement to fill his shoes as HC - Maybe Scott Satterfield, who left ASU to go to Toledo.

As did every other teams except two of them. How does that mean that ASU won't be in there just because Armanti is gone when they were in there BEFORE Armanti came there?

Same dumb bullshit was bandied about when Dave Dickenson graduated and we've done OK since 1995.

Some teams have a tradition of doing what is described and the fans of the flash in the pans think it can only happen in the years where you have that one or two guys that your fanbase sees as saviors. You just don't have the same perspective.

Jerry Moore is FREAKIN' 70 YEARS OLD you dumbass - I think when most people think of him leaving the program, it would be for retirement. If ASU making the playoffs 15 times, having a winning percentage of .713 and notching 8 Socon championships since 1989 is a "crap" team then you're clearly under the influence of something.

We'll be just fine next season.

The overall talant at ASU is better than it was in the late 90's and early 2000's. Got to agree with Ursus, programs like ASU and Montana aren't one player. While AE cannot be replaced don't look for ASU to miss the playoffs for three straight years.

So with my coke bottles on, I realize that in addition to getting past the third round in 2006 and 2007 with AE, they also won the national championship in 2005 without AE (he started as a true freshman in 2006). I think winning the NC the year before he arrived generally undermines your theory that they will slip after he is gone.

ASU was crap before AE? That is a bold statement coming from a guy whose team only has 4 conference championships and 7 playoff appearances. ASU has 10 SoCon Championships and has been to the playoffs 17 times. If that is a crap program what exactly do you consider a good program?
