-University of Nebraska Omaha Mavericks: A division 2 school with FCS capabilities. They are quite a powerful team in the D2 ranks and have the stadium/ student size to move up to Divsion 1 in the near future. All they need are a few more sports added and scholarships and they are there. Their location is not to bad either and would fit in the GWC classification being south of the Dakotas
-University of San Diego Toreros: A very good choice in terms of location and athletics, they only thing standing in there way is that they dont offer athletic scholarships (as i believe is the case with all pioneer conference schools) they start doing that i seem them as a great choice.
-New Mexico State Aggies, Utah State Aggies, Idaho Vandals: Now if the FBS decides to kick out a few schools do too poor attendance ratings then im sure that the Aggies would find a home in the Great West along with teams like Idaho and Utah State. But this is probably just wishful thinking as it is apprent that the FBs is probably not going to do anything about it do to in state politics. But who knows it could happen
-West Texas A&M Buffaloes: A Division 2 school that definetly has a FCS (1-aa) potential. They have had over the years a standard succses that is expected when it comes to texas football. Their stadium seats over 20,000 the largest d2 stadium i believe and is pretty full almost every game (i think it was something like at least 10,00 plus per game.) The one thing standing in there way is, well fnances and cost of movin up to FCS play and possibly the distance being to far south.
These are the canidates that i have come up with that i can see for the possibility of joining the GWC or another team someone like Sac State leaves the Big Sky to join (dont see that happening).
