As I recall, it occurred during a dialogue between me and Gannonfan on another topic. I believed he was being arrogant and I used the "Gannonfan" reference as an example. My simple point was that posters are free to choose any "name". Since "Gannonfan" was, I believe, one of the "founding fathers" of "GoHens", I believed it was a bit arrogant to assume the title of "Gannonfan"....as if none of the other UD fans posting on the site were fans of Rich Gannon or that HE had some special status to designate himself as THE "Gannonfan".
I also believed it to be less than creative...all "names" in the universe were available.
I also believed it was selected to draw attention to him, "Gannonfan", as somehow somebody special.

At the time... as an illustration... it made sense to include it as a constant example of arrogance. Maybe it worked...maybe it didn't. Not sure my example had any effect on resolving the dispute Gannonfan and I were engeged in...and likely pissed him off ... no permanent harm to his psyche I'm sure.

You put THAT much thought into it?

Imagine how many neurons in your brain are consumed with the thoughts of an anonymous poster on a minor league football message board... storage capacity for scrambled thoughts that in some fashion confirm some predisposed concept you feel a need to promote... the past, unfortunately, has been filtered through your biases and insecurities.

Suppose I could have just been frustrated and called him an "azz" or "douche".... lot less effort. Some posters on GoHens actually tried to use a thought process to make a point...others just yelled out a schoolyard epithet.

Wow - I didn't want to step in between you and Cluck, but wow.

First, I'm deemed "less than creative" by the guy who has come up with the screenames BangorHen, then SlaterHen (Bangor High School's nickname being the Slaters), then UDPA (Bangor being in PA), and now NorthHen (PA being north of Delaware). The irony here is so thick you can reach out and touch it (note, I wasn't really creative with that line, kinda paraphrased the line James Earl Jones used in the movie "Field of Dreams".).

And if I wanted to be thought of as the only person who could be GannonFan, I would've used the moniker of "The Gannonfan", ala "The Ohio State". I'll give you some insight - I spent all of a few seconds coming up with a name - I liked Rich Gannon and I went with that - it was really that simple. I mean, it's a screenname, I'm not taking out a mortgage.

And as for being "pissed", seriously, I couldn't have been less pissed. Heck, if you put that kind of thought into my screename and what that meant about me, then again, I have to just say wow - that's just flat out loony. Good luck with that.

The last time he represented a third party, "Gannonfan", the alleged victim posted that he could care less about the issue raised by the Cluckster. Perhaps, you can suggest that Cluck represent himself....unless he's acquired his barrister degree lately.

Finally.... he's made a post making light of "autism" two posts ago. There are, undoubtedly, posters on this board with family members challenged by this condition. For the life of me, I can't imagine why some one would use this condition as a basis for an obvious attack post.... goes with "BlueHenBillK's" multiple references to "Allentown State Hospital", a mental health facility. Perhaps you could establish some boundaries for their attempts at humor.
