How About That Obama Stock Market?
Already 360 points down on European fiscal crisis and Korean tensions. With Obama's fiscal policies, could the US be far behind? Barry's quest to destroy the American investor class continues.

While I agree with you assessment...some strange things are happening overall with the markets...Ivytalk wrote:Already 360 points down on European fiscal crisis and Korean tensions. For example, gold is down...I would expect with the growing tensions worldwide that gold would be climbing...but its not...
And consumer confidence appears to be up a little...

I told my parents to sell about three weeks ago. Every technical indicator showed that the market was overbought. I'm not sure if they listened.

Re: How About That Obama Stock Market?
Well, in Obama's defense, this isn't his fault right now - Europe has not handled the downturn well and right now the Euro is just killing the global economy (Korea is a nuisance, but they are regardless of who is President - they make some noise every now and then and cause some panic, but they do that pretty regularly so hard to pin it on any one President).
What could be Obama's fault is if the US follows Europe into the same problems, which considering the huge upswing in government spending, is possible. Europe is in trouble because of the huge government spending versus GDP and the drag that creates - the US is beginning to approach those levels and could see the same consequences if we don't control that and begin reversing it. That was one of Bush's major failings and Obama has pretty much doubled down on that mistake. Keynesianism isn't working (not that that's shocking).

Which is odd because being innately serious is something that no one would accuse me of in real life - apparently only on political message boards.Ivytalk wrote:That, of course, is my whole point, Ganny. I appreciate your humor but you know and I know Obama is owned and operated by Wall Street...
He is a complete pawn of the Federal Reserve system as is well documented
Some of his other embarrassing gaffs might attribute some fluxuation here and there but lets get real... Obama is told what to do with little variation in the playbook by the financial sector not the other way around

So you believe that the fine folks at Goldman Sachs told Barry to incur a federal budget deficit of 1.4 trillion? I somehow doubt it.Chizzang wrote:Ivy,Ivytalk wrote:Already 360 points down on European fiscal crisis and Korean tensions. With Obama's fiscal policies, could the US be far behind? Yes there are other factors that might cause some fluxuation
But the idea that Obama and Wall Street are not hand-in-hand and that players like Goldman Sachs and the Federal Reserve team of Banks aren't calling the shots is ridiculous...
in fact:
If you believe we've had a President function autonomously regarding the Market and the Fed since 1913 you don't understand what the Federal Reserve system and Wall Street are....
