Preliminary Team USA roster announced
Re: Preliminary Team USA roster announced
They're staying outside of Johannesburg which is over 5500' in elevation and training for two weeks. Supposedly, that's sufficient for altitude acclimation.

Wow that game was pitiful. Defense was very sloppy and too many fouls. Yes it was mostly subs getting a shot at making the 23 man roster but still. Czech is young and didn't play well either but still managed to destroy our defense.

God thing we aren't taking that squad to SA

We're taking a lot of those guys though. One of the left backs (probably Bornstein), Edu, and one of the forwards will be starting in South Africa. My guess as to the cuts - Pearce, Marshall, Bedoya, Kljestan, Rogers, Findley and Johnson.
And based on Gooch's play last night, my guess is Goodson has a decent chance of starting. Bocanegra had hernia surgery May....5th? and Demerit's coming back from some eye injury. If that backline isn't up to it, we don't make it out of the group.
