That's exactly why I don't get really uptight about these guys taking a few days here and there. Even when Bush was spending time at the ranch I don't think there's a huge amount of downtime. Even then he was out clearing brush (the old lady put him to work

As far as kicking back smoking a cigar and having a beer, he does do that (but he's normally brokering peace between a Cambridge police officer and a Harvard professor).
On the other hand, it's not like these guys don't have some idea just how crammed their schedules will be and how little privacy they will have for the rest of their lives upon attaining the office. If you want to work 25/8, good by me but don't sign me up for it.
