Exactly what I thought when I saw the title of this thread. Basically what you've got is a narrow channel through the material at the bottom of the Gulf. I think if you just put a nuke a little bit above the opening and set it off it would fuse the channel shut. It's not like the reservoir the oil is coming from is right there under the surface so that setting off a nuke would blast it open. And you'd be setting the nuke off a mile under water. So there'd be a little bit of radiation. There wouldn't be any fallout. We've had underwater nuke tests before and everything turned out fine.∞∞∞ wrote:Nuke it.
