Matt is correct. It was a commentary, not an article. And I threw it out there because I find it humorous to watch Philly fans get their panties all in a bunch when people talk about what uncouth savages their fans are.

Many of our fans are uncouth savages, the 700 level fans of old Veterans Stadium come to mind. Flyers fans are somewhat unique in Philly; they are happy if their team act like bullies, but they are usually civil.

The only person who got his panties in a wad here was the clown who wrote the article.

The splitting of the top line works like a charm. 4 points for Buff, 2 for Kaner, and -5 for Pronger. Some BAD missed high sticks in this game, Campbell gets one in the shield, Briere under the eye, bad x-checks on Hossa and Ladd, not sure how the refs are missing easy calls but they are! Hawks one win away. Certainly Leighton will start Game 6

Ohhh, now THAT was the Hawks team that would've swept the Flyers...if those guys show up on Wednesday, the Flyers can throw the kitchen sink at 'em and it won't matter.

...I effing hate Patrick Sharp. The rest of 'em I don't mind so much...well, maybe Hossa...

Now that was the effort we saw vs Vancouver and San Jose. Can we bottle that up and take it Philly? I think Niemi better wear extra padding Wednesday,Philly is gonna drop 50 shots on him

McNeil has no room to talk he's a boor who says crap he shouldn't and gets huffy when someone calls him on it. I spent 3 summers in Philly during college and it's one of my favorite cities. The fans have a lot in common with Chicago fans. But I do like to throw a grenade over every now and then for shits & giggles.

I had to work late last night, so I missed the carnage.

I still believe the Flyers will gut out a win on Wednesday and take it back to Chicago for Game 7. Maybe there's a Chicago pol we could pay off to make it happen!

Lighten up Matt, that poster is funny! Pronger has been a key in the Flyers wins and he's fair game for some good-natured ribbing. My guess is that he uses it as motivation but if he or the Flyers can't handle it then they should be wearing skirts.

Most of us Flyers fans cannot believe they:

1. Ended up with a winning season after firing the head coach just over five months ago in mid-season.
2. Made the playoffs as the last team in on a shootout on the last day of the regular season.
3. Upset the Devils, with three forwards (Gagne, Carter, LaPerrier) out with injuries.
4. Came back from a 3 games to 0 deficit against the Bruins after falling behind 3-0 in Game 7.
5. Upset the Canadiens (Vegas favorites) after the Canadiens had knocked off both Washington and Pittsburgh.
6. Did the city proud so far against the very heavily favored Blackhawks.

There is no shame if they lose 20-0 tonight. There's really no pressure when you've overachieved like this. In fact, they may just take the next two games. We shall see. Every bit of pressure is on the team in red the next two games.

Blackhawks are just five minutes from hoisting the Cup. Flyers have thrown the kitchen sink out there this period, but it doesn't appear to be enough. Niemi looking very, very good.
