DH: David Ortiz
C: Victor Martinez
1B: Justin Morneau
2B: Robinson Cano
SS: Derek Jeter (By a hair over Scutaro... Andrus also doing well)
3B: TTTC (Too tough to call) Statistically speaking its between Longoria and Beltre... Bautista has the HRs but .230 BA is killing him.
OF: Brett Gardner
OF: Alex Rios
OF: Ichiro
SP: Clay Buchholz
OF explanation: Though voting is based on just 3 OF. I made my picks for each OF position. Gardner while splitting evenly between CF and LF is listed as my LF choice.

This is strictly AL. I don't watch as much as I used to, so some of these are flat out guesses. Others are pure local bias. Note the compete absence of Yankees. I have Yankophobia. LOL.

Re: What Is Your All Star Ballot?
My All Star ballot is a piece of paper that you punch holes in, making sure the chads don't hang. Oh wait, I do mine online. Never mind. Okay, so if I go to the ballpark......
Re: What Is Your All Star Ballot?
Z, the Nats have moved Dunn to 1B for this season entirely. FYI. Probably knocks him off your roster, huh?AZGrizFan wrote:National League

Was going to go with him too but it was hard to pass up Morneaus AVG/OBP numbers .344/.455 and Morneau has a huge defensive advantage over Cabrera.Gil Dobie wrote:DH: Vlady Guerrero

Re: What Is Your All Star Ballot?
if Braves second baseman Martin Prado isn't on your ballot you don't deserve to cast one. all he has done is lead the NL in hits and multi hit games.

Re: What Is Your All Star Ballot?
Correct, he is a one category guy, and that category is winning. Take a look at the Braves record and his stats since they put him hitting leadoff and you'll see why he deserves to start in the all star game...AZGrizFan wrote:Sorry. ... or better yet, go back and peruse his stats and the braves record over 162 games since this time last year when the Braves made him the every day second baseman.
He's currently on a pace to bat .330, with 230 hits, score 118 runs, collect 47 doubles, 15 HR, 69 RBI, and 328 total bases as a leadoff man. BTW, those stats virtually mirror Dustin Pedroia's MVP season of 2008. He's top 3 in the NL in BA, hits, multi hit games, runs scored, singles, assists, games, AB, total bases, plate appearances, and fielding %.
That's an MVP quality year, especially given his team's success and what he has meant to it.
