It is not a Fox News poll, if that matters. It is a Fox News article. I heard about the poll on the radio on the way to work today.mrklean wrote:A Fox news poll....................................![]()

Me, I do not fault Obama in terms of the general disaster response. I do fault him for declaring a moratorium on deepwater offshore drilling. By doing that, he made an already bad situation much worse. Bush didn't do anything like that.

Among other findings, the poll determined that "...Louisianans believe that President George W. Bush did a better job handling the crisis in the state than President Obama, 50 to 35..."

People kept dying on Bush's watch.......and the oil keeps flowing on Obama's watch.
Bush should shoulder the blame for allowing fellow Americans to suffer and die for a longer period of time than they should have.
I don't fault Obama for not stopping the oil leak.......I fault him for his lack of compassion for those suffering in the Gulf region and lack of action in holding BP accountable. He's an intellectual pussy.

Look, BO's got Katrina as a case study in what NOT to do wrt disaster response, and yet he's making all the same mistakes Bush made, notably in dragging his feet in responding. He's compounding the issue by trying to use the spill as a catalyst for moving his climate change/"green energy" agenda, which is just pissing the hell out of everyone impacted. It's just really poor leadership, and any poll will easily reflect that.

President ... Bush declared a state of emergency... on Saturday, the 27th, two days before the hurricane made landfall. ...

Re: Poll: Bush better than Obama at disaster response.......
Another reason that Bush is polling better: Obama's stupid speech where he focused on pipedreams instead of cleanup activities on prime-time TV earlier this week:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... inionsbox1Obama is dreamer in chief: He wants to take us to this green future "even if we're unsure exactly what that looks like. Even if we don't yet precisely know how we're going to get there." Here's the offer: Tax carbon, spend trillions and put government in control of the energy economy -- and he will take you he knows not where, by way of a road he knows not which.
That's why Tuesday's speech was received with such consternation. It was so untethered from reality. The gulf is gushing, and the president is talking mystery roads to unknown destinations. That passes for vision, and vision is Obama's thing. It sure beats cleaning up beaches.

The question:
Is Bush better at disaster Response than Obama..?
I'm sorry but that's like asking:
