You most certainly HAVE been proven wrong, in that you obviously don't understand the meaning of the word "possible". And STILL don't.

And once you start wordsmithing like SyntaxError, you KNOW you've lost the argument so you might as well just stop right there... :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

I admitted pretty early on in this thread that yes... byt the letter of the definition it is a possibility. Since then I have maintained 1 thing... he wont win 30 regardless of possibiloities... cant that prediction stand alone at this point? And based on what I have said since... simply that he wont win 30 games, that has not been proven wrong... possible or not.

Travis, I'm sure you were around to see Pedro about 10-12 years ago, that's what the Sox are up against on Wednesday. Actually, looking at the stats, Ubaldo's better than Pedro was then.

My Prediction: A week from now Ubaldo will be 14-1 with a 1.15 ERA, having allowed a run in 8 innings against Boston in a 4-1 Rockies win.

Here's a story from ESPN The Magazine on Ubaldo:

"Plaintiff, the hitters of Major League Baseball, acting upon notification and authorization to the Commissioner of Major League Baseball, for its complaint alleges as follows:

The Defendant, a 26-year-old Colorado Rockies pitcher named Ubaldo Jimenez, on or about Opening Day of the 2010 baseball season, plotted against Plaintiff to break Major League Baseball Rule 1.02, which reads, "The objective of each team is to win by scoring more runs than the opponent."

Plaintiff alleges that Defendant, by refusing to allow opponents to score, is breaking Rule 1.02 by both intent and purpose.'

Technically on this date in 2000, he had a 0.99 ERA, but that was only through 12 starts. Through 12 starts this season, Ubaldo had a 0.93 ERA. Pedro's ERA through 14 starts in 2000 was 1.44 compared to Ubaldo's 1.15 in 2010.

To Travis, technicalities only apply when defining the word "possible". :coffee:

You may not want to make this bet, Tulowitzki just went on the DL with a broken hand and the Rockies season is fvcked.

Well, the only way to beat him is to shut the Rockies out, which looks a whole lot more likely with Tulo's bat out of the lineup.
