Phil is makin' a run today....-5 today through 8 holes with a tap-in for par on #9...sitting at -1 for the tournament. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Tiger, you ask? He's +4 after carding a 73 today... :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Jesus, I've got the magic touch.

Phil just missed the tap in (ok, it was a 4 footer)

How can you not like Phil? He's the classic protagonist with the fatal flaw. Extraordinary talent combined with tendency to reject the percentage play makes him exciting to watch (I think more so even than Tiger). And back when he was still "the best player without a major" he never made excuses for not quite getting it done. I'll be rooting for him, unless The Big Easy is still in it Sunday.
Greens are looking way bumpy.

Classic conversation on the TV this afternoon. They were talking with the USGA course "architect" for the US Open, and he was responding to criticism that the greens were shitty. He said this: "World #2, after a poor day putting on Friday, said 'I putted poorly'. I can agree with that. World #1, after a poor day of putter said 'the greens were awful'. I can NOT agree with that."

Dude just blasted Tiger.

Tiger with a big move today now third 5 shots off the lead I think. Phil The Great faltered.
