Bah!
What's with the avatar? Meaning to ask about that but whatever

And Australia leads Serbia 1-0. Going to need at least 3 more goals in both games for the Socceroos to make it over Ghana

I met a girl one night in the dark, we had a quickie, and she asked if I was from Ghana. That is all.

United States, Uruguay, South Korea or Ghana will be in the semifinals. Compare that to being in a bracket with Germany, Argentina and Mexico and I'd say we got the good end of the deal.

Theres no reason the US cant make the Semi's and if they do anything can happen.... I jotted out a prediction before this all started and mostly based on homerism I had USA going all the way :thumb:

I watched both sets of games today. And I think that the USA draw of Ghana will be a bit tough. When I watched Ghana and Germany...I could not help but notice Ghana's utter SPEED. It was mind blowing. Germany is a soccer powerhouse I believe though...so it is perhaps a better draw for us!

I hope England defeats Germany.

Bring on Saturday!

Kind of funny ESPN does a docu on June 17, 1994 in which was an epic sports day. Now we get a day like today with the Americans epic World Cup win, Isner/Mahut having the longest tennis match in history that still isn't over, the College World Series and LT indicted on rape charges.

I turn on ESPN and see Jay Bilas try to make people care about the NBA Draft. I'm indifferent to him as an announcer, but he should seriously go fuck himself if he thinks people give a shit about the NBA Draft today.

Italy down early 1-0 to Slovakia. If they lose, they are out. Even a tie doesn't guarantee them a way through.

Paraguay/New Zealand still 0-0.

It's always fun watching European heavyweights struggle when the World Cup isn't held in Europe. Kind of makes it clear why Europe was so adamant about ditching the plan to rotate hosting the tournament around all the governing bodies of soccer, and also why 2018 will definitely be in Europe (after not being there in 2014 either when it's in Brazil).

Having Italy crash out would be great - there's never anything attractive about the way Italy plays, just straight out boring, defenisive-happy, dive-happy soccer. They're like Duke without the likeable coach.
