Since SDHornet hasn't seen fit to chime in here: Trevor Hoffman, the career saves leader, mostly from his time with the Pads. He landed on a cr@ppy Milwaukee team after the idiots running the asylum in SD arbitrarily decided he was done, and now he's a blinking set-up guy.

BTW, that's not to say Papelbon sucks. I'd be more inclined to stick that tag on Rivera. I can count the current closers I would take over Papelbon right now on 1 finger and JoltinJoe I'm sure knows who that is. Regardless of how Papelbon pitched in the past two outings he is still an elite closer. That said TRADE THE BUM and let Bard closer.
