Sixers should pick Turner. Best all around player in the draft, IMO.

If you're like me your eyes just gloss over when you see that W word.

I'll be the first to admit though that if the Bullets can turn into a good team with the new owner and #1 draft pick that I'll jump on the bandwagon and at least pay attention. I won't watch more than a few games cuz I'm not a fan of the NBA, but I'll at least keep myself up to date.

Congrats to Minny for using Pick #4, in a draft with 4 can't-miss players, to not pick Cousins....

How the hell does UT get 3 players drafted when they sucked this year? And before you say anything, yeah, they were ranked # 1....until they started conference play and imploded. They made the NCAA's on reputation. Ok, so they were 24-9, but most of those losses were IN Conference (9-7) and their OOC wasn't just the most impressive.
6th in their conference and lost in the first round of the NCAA's to Wake Forest (19-10)
Where's all the UNI, Butler and Gonzaga players?

(I know the individuals are pretty good but I had to vent)

Timberwolves already have 2 good PF's in Love and Jefferson. They needed a shooter like Johnson. There were questions about Cousins maturity also.

Blazers take two players from the great western basketball powerhouse NEVADA. The Reno-Portland connection must be pretty tight. Draft two players, Patty Mills played three games in the NBDL in Reno last year (he was technically playing for Idaho) and, on a side note, the new PSU football coach came from Reno.

My take, I like Vegas better. :thumb:

You could trade for a mighty good, and established, shooter with Cousins...

Not sure the Wolves (post Kevin McHale), want to bring in an old fart shooter to this young team. They basically started over last year. Johnson might be the most ready to play in the NBA at age 23 and he said he is happy to be coming to Minnesota (which isn't heard much these days), to play with Jonny Flynn. Picking up Martel Webster could also be key to filling the shooting guard postion. Webster didn't get that many minutes on a deep Portland team., and he's young at 23. Word on the street is that Jefferson is on the trading block with Corey Brewer a second possibility. The Wolves also have a good chunk of salary cap money to spend.

Yeah, and OKC isn't satisfied with taking our team, they gotta take our college talent too.

Naw, I like the Thunder... they're still the Sonics to me, and they're building the franchise the right way (even though it's not in Seattle as is should be, fuck you David Stern!!!!). Glad they picked up Quincy.

Webster is pretty streaky, which may be what you guys lost in Gomes. Webster could score 20 points in one quarter and end up with 22 for the game. Still, he is a strong team player, willing to give up his stats for the good of the team. He never pouted when Batum was starting , or when he was playing behind Outlaw earlier in his career. Good person off the court, too. We're going to miss him.

No seniors drafted in the first round... :ohno:

I just shake my head at the NBA draft. Hardly ever do we see a player come into the league and make an immediate impact anywhere except in tennis shoe sales because the players simply aren't ready due to the fact they aren't experienced enough. The NBA has a big problem with the early entry because they are MOL throwing money away with guaranteed contracts on players who have to develop.... not to mention that it is ruining college basketball.
