I believe whoever wins between Weber State and Montana will beat JMU, and play App St in the National Title.

The reason I believe Weber can win, is Because JMU's QB is a runner.

Cal Poly's QB was a runner, and he was forced to throw the ball, and he threw 4 picks.

JMU will have to throw the ball to beat Weber State, if of course Weber gets past UM.

I think JMU would have a easier time beating Montana, then they would Weber State. The reason for this is because Chase Reynolds for Montana has definetely been the workhorse for that offense this year, If someone shuts him down, then UM will be forced to thrown the ball. Bergquist has been nonexistent these past few weeks.

Weber State on the other hand has been getting results from both the passing and running games. Higgins and Smith have been sharing the load all season. Its harder to beat a team that is firing on all cylinders offensively.

If Weber shuts down Reynolds, Weber will win.

If Weber shuts down JMU's QB, Weber will win.

Yea, those lousy back east teams really got the snot beat out of them last year at Wa-Griz (Wofford)....oops...well, UMass got its butts kicked in 2006 at Wa-Griz....oops...

Bring it on, brother...

Anyone care to place a little wager...say a school hat...on this little east vs west discussion...

Its funny how nobody gives Weber a chance.

Just about everybody said Weber was no match for Cal Poly, and now just about everyone thinks Montana is going to roll over Weber despite Weber winning the first game 45 to 28.

I bet if Weber beats Montana, everyone will still say Weber will lose to JMU or Villanova.

Nobody has given Weber the respect they have earned this year.

It's pretty funny that two games won by margins of 1 and 2 points respectively somehow prove the superiority of east coast football.

Once it gets down to the last 8 teams, it's anybody's game. It doesn't prove which "coast" is better. All 8 of these teams are great, and any one of them would be a fine represenative as national champion.

Oh, give me a break...I never said "superior"...I just responded to this misguided belief that some how either BSC team will "beat the snot" out of any team they play from back east...

You and I agreed in a different thread that any of the 8 remaining teams can win this weekend...I think JMU and ASU are a hair better than the rest...but that's a pretty slim margin, on that doesn't allow much room for error...

But, if you feel the west is going to "beat the snot" out of the east coast teams...

One season does not earn respect...the playoffs win respect...you've won ONE playoff game...win a few more, I'll believe...

ACTUALLY, JMU's offense didn't beat our defense. Our special teams allowed a returned kickoff at the beginning of the second half. TECHNICALLY, our offense outscored their offense. Our special teams was a problem at the beginning of the year but that has been fixed over the last few games.

And I know WHEN (not if) we face JMU in the championship game (although I think they'll get beat this weekend, unfortunately), they won't beat us again.

Proof: During the 2005 season (our first of 3 national championships), Furman beat us by 3 (sound familiar) in the regular season. We had to face them in the final round of the playoffs and we beat them by 6. Also, Furman was good back then. Oh, who was it that we beat in the Championship game? Oh yeah, the same Northern Iowa team who is supposed to beat App in Boone next week. Sorry to upset, but be prepared for a repeat of 2005 NIU, just one round earlier.

Key word in your analysis is TECHICALLY...

The JMU offense did its job, led by Landers...

The ASU offense did it's job, led by Edwards...

My point is, Edwards or Landers will lead their teams to the promised land this year...Higgins will not...

I'm pulling for Landers and JMU as CAA breathern, but if AE and ASU win it all, I won't be surprised...just POed...

Ouch!...wager anyone?

So, if I'm following this logic correctly, the "bet" would be whichever team emerges from the Weber/Montana matchup beating whichever team emerges from the JMU/Villanova matchup?

I'll take that bet. I could use a Vanillanova hat.
