I don't believe I've ever said I believe that...
Then do you believe concealed carry is a right guaranteed by the Constitution?

Now...are you playing the idiot, or not reading...

You cut 99% of my post that explains... to focus on the opening comment...

You cannot defend your own position and therefore keep trying to lay some trap...

So, will you simply ignore the rest of that post...or admit you can't...
Col Hogan wrote:All Constitutional rights come with some sort of limitation...legislatures, states and courts have throughout history gone overboard in applying those limits...

At one time, only property owners could vote (unless they were female or black)...at one time women and blacks could not vote...at one time 18 - 20 year olds could not vote...

We accept limits on voting still...but we accept that voting is a Constitutionally protected right...

To keep and bear arms is a Constitutionally protected right...one that IMHO, legislatures, states and courts are still going overboard in applying limits...

If I am allowed to keep (possess) a weapon for self-defense...how much sense does it make that I cannot bear (carry) that self-defense weapon when I leave my house...

Remember, a police officer is only minutes away...a bad guy only needs seconds to do the evil deed...

Why do want to limit a citizens rights???

All the crap after had nothing to do with my question. I'll take it line by line though to make you happy if you'll answer my questios that you've ignored.

Do you believe concealed carry is a right guaranteed by the Constitution? You've contradicted yourself on this a few times and won't answer it straight up.

I agree.

In some cases, yes. In some cases, no. I think you need to show that outlawing conceal carry or open carry laws is going overboard (i.e. unconstitutional), though. Again, even Scalia has said states clearly have a right to ban concealed weapons. I don't see a difference, constitutionally, between carrying a weapon concealed or carrying a weapon open. Show me the constitutional difference between the two and I may start agreeing with you.

This is ok. You're entitled to your position. I just want to make sure you realize you are way to the right on this and you will never see your beliefs reflected in the Supreme Court in your lifetime. It's just not going to happen. Antonin fucking Scalia is on my side. There won't be many judges to the right of him appointed the bench in your lifetime. I don't think it's the legislatures, states, or courts that are going overboard on this. :coffee:

It depends on the locality.

I don't think the Federal government has the power to ban carrying weapons nationally. I think it's up to the localities. If your city or state bans it... tough shit. Move somewhere else or work towards changing the law. Quit your fucking bitching... DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Um...... didn't you start out this post saying that all rights have limits?!?!?

WHY DO YOU WANT TO LIMIT A CITIZEN'S RIGHTS????????????

Constitutional rights have limits. It would appear that you agree with that (but, who knows. I won't be surprised if you say the complete opposite in your next post). We disagree where those limits should be placed. On some issues I think the limits should be more constricted than you do. On some issues you think the limits should be more constricted than I do. It doesn't mean either of us "want to limit a citizens rights."
