The market is close to putting in the right shoulder of a head-and-shoulders pattern. If it completes the right shoulder, head for the hills. The market will drop like a rock.

Took INCs advice myself. Had a little dough laying in banks earning nothing, my landlord of my office building has been begging me to make an offer on the place, it was listed at 72K. Market is dead. She came over last week to meet me for the first time, and again asked If I would be interested..

Long story short, have contract on it for 42.5K, closing mid August, cash deal, and I can cap back 1% a month in rent to myself.

Good investment, yes, no??

The way the market has been and is going to be...and with interest rates remaining near nothing...

Yea...sounds like an ok investment to me...

But, I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night... :kisswink:

OK. If the S&P 500 breaks support at the 1020 level, you're fucked. Is that plain enough?

How about a few months ago...pulling out of the big dump from 2007 & 2008...and the right shoulder is part of the slide down that we're in...

If it makes anyone feel any better someone I'm very close to just put in a leveraged short order for $10 million.

He's just an individual - not an institutional investor either.

That's how serious investors are viewing this.

Holy crap - I'd hate to get the margin call if he's wrong and we get an uptick.

The market will be in the 8000s by October....

Sure thing.

If market never closes below 8999 by the first of October, I get a UMASS hat.
If market ever closes below 8999 by the first of October, you get an App hat.

Deal?

And, for full disclosure... I have a pretty good record in these sorts of bets.

Which reminds me.... dbackjon still owes me an NAU hat. :kisswink:

What are you talking about? Can you link any gloom and doom statements I made before May? As far as I know, I was the only one who called the double top then. What are you doing in a stock market thread, anyway? Finance and economics aren't exactly your areas of expertise.
