If there's one thing I hate more than Christina Aguilera, it's a fat black chick oversinging one of Christina Aguilera's songs.
PLAY BALL, DAMN IT.
(or else just tell me the game doesn't start until 8:45 on my on-screen guide)
PLAY BALL, DAMN IT.

Shouldn't you baseball fans know that the MLB was going to drag out this thing longer than a yankee/sox game?! It says it will start at time A. Just add 30-60 minutes onto that and it will be about right.

Nice catch by Ichiro of the Albert Pujols Line Drive, to end the first.

Nice touch having the voice of Bob Sheppard introduce Jeter.

Re: MLB All-Star Game Thread
I've noticed just about every one of the NL players is wearing the new Rawlings extra-padded helmet, but few (if any) of the AL players are. For a team that hasn't won the game in forever, maybe this isn't the time to be experimenting with new equipment, even if they're stuffing your pockets with money to pitch their product in an All-Star game.
EDIT: Actually, I do see them on some of the AL players now, but still less than the NL.

Interesting stat that Jeter has more hits at his age than Pete Rose did at the same age.

That's the spirit, Kuo. Throw the ball away for what leads to the game's first and possibly game-winning run and then walk back to the mound with a shit-eating grin on your face, you POS.
Maybe that's why your team hasn't been to the World Series since Reagan was president.

Muahaha...the streak is still alive.
Re: MLB All-Star Game Thread
Yeah...THAT guy was a better pick to replace Jason Heyward than Carlos Gonzalez.93henfan wrote:That's the spirit, Kuo. Charlie Manuel's gonna be the All-Star Game MVP...for the AL.

Cry me a river. Win a World Series, or at least get to one, and your manager can pick whoever he wants. I didn't see you bitching that he gave the honor of starting to your idol over his own ace.free7694 wrote:Yeah...THAT guy was a better pick to replace Jason Heyward than Carlos Gonzalez.93henfan wrote:That's the spirit, Kuo. Re: MLB All-Star Game Thread
Charlie Manuel is Exhibit A for the argument that players win World Series, not managers. The guy couldn't manage his way out of a wet paper sack. Congrats to the Phils for getting to the Series in '08 and '09, just remember who kept you out of it in '07.93henfan wrote:Cry me a river. You'd have some bragging rights for '07 if you hadn't gotten completely embarrassed by the Sawx.free7694 wrote:Charlie Manuel is Exhibit A for the argument that players win World Series, not managers.
