I like Towson's new uniforms, especially the black helmets rather than the gold ones.
...but I have to admit, after wishing an old teammate happy birthday on Facebook today, I looked at some of his pictures, I miss our old uniforms and helmets...
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."
I'm not wild about ASU's - they look like Iowa or the Steelers IMO.
Dude, it could get worse. My RS freshamn year we had pants like that and a matching yellow jersey. It was bad enough we sucked bad, but the humiliation came before kickoff.

Looked like 70 bananas taking the field?
We called them banana uniforms.
The white helmet, "yolk" jersey and black pants didn't work all that well either.

I have to say, I went kicking and screaming into the 21st century when the Hens went to the current Under Armour threads, but I do like them. Prior to the change a couple years ago, the Hens hadn't really changed unis in my lifetime (and well before that too). The only minor changes were to the shade of yellow and blue, and to change the facemask from grey to blue. I would be bent if they ever decided to go away from the winged helmet though.
I always liked these:
the blue is closer to the Columbia Blue that is our actual school color. Plus it was the first uniform that we had with names on the jersey.
Sorry, Tampa. I had to look at that pic a second time. I had thought someone had PhotoShopped the color from an Edmonton Eskimo uni. Something about the letters on the helmet....
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
"What I'm saying is: You might have taken care of your wolf problem, but everyone around town is going to think of you as the crazy son of a bitch who bought land mines to get rid of wolves."
In the interest of economy, we had plain white pants; we had plain navy-blue shirts, a number on the front and a number on the back. We couldn't even put a stripe down the middle of our helmets. We used a strip of tape. ... Those kind of things screamed, "Team." Erk
We just need to remove some advertisements and we would be in throwbacks. And like Hen, I hated when they first showed up. It make us look like we are running in NASCAR.

I always thought of this as the Georgia Southern "no bullshit, just football" color scheme.

I'll be sure and pass that info along to Charlie Cobb and Jerry Moore, and drop your name and team affiliation.
