Re: FCS Sightings
Have a gal who just transferred into my division wore a Montana Grizzlies sweatshirt to work on Friday. I know she wasn't a fan so I asked her where she got it. Apparently her boyfriend likes the Griz and loaned it to her.

Sitting at a stoplight yesterday and the SUV in front of me had a UNI "Purple For Life" sticker on the back window.
I wasn't aware she'd moved out here.
I'll be relocating.

She doesn't drive an SUV, she has that awesome red sports car....AZGrizFan wrote:Sitting at a stoplight yesterday and the SUV in front of me had a UNI "Purple For Life" sticker on the back window.

Also, sadly the Purple for Life, is a thing that UNI tries to push. They could have come up with a better name for it though

Re: FCS Sightings
I work in a public high school in northern Va and I have seen numerous FCS gear being worn by students, and some faculty and staff... schools cited....Barney (JMU), Wm&Mary, Villanova, VMI, Libery, ODU. These are no surprise since they are schools here in the Commonwealth. I've seen one New Hampshire shirt and a "Black Bears" Maine shirt. Alas, no University of Richmond gear, except when I wear such items to school on "casual Fridays"! However I will make this point. The Superintendent of the school system in which I am employed, IS A 1973 GRADUATE OF UR!!!!

Was behind a pick-up last night with a Yosef decal on the gate. Had I gotten a chance to say Hi, I wonder if he'd have been impressed that I knew it was for AppSt and not WVU (given my location).

Re: FCS Sightings
I studied abroad in Århus, Denmark last year and watched the Griz games with a group of 4-6 Danish Griz fans, all of whom would dress up for the games (despite the fact we were watching the games crowded around a laptop in an apartment building)...it was quite special.
For the record, one of them studied abroad at UM and it became a social thing to watch the games together afterward since NFL games are rarely on TV in Denmark (one game a week on TV, mostly in the middle of the night on Monday mornings, Griz games could be watched online at 9pm on a Saturday night...).
Back in the states I saw a Griz decal on a car in Pittsburgh once, which wasn't mine so that was odd. The other ones I've seen out there were eastern based (quite a few JMU and W&M stickers).
