Since TBH is a registered Dem...I know, I know, she is changing her registration when we got get our concealed weapons permits next week...we had some door to door democrat douche stop at our door the other day. She begged me to look at voting democrat and not vote party lines. When I told her I'm not a registered republican she said it would be even easier for me to vote democrat then. She then told TBH to make sure she voted in the coming election because the Democratic Party of Iowa is expecting some big losses this year.

The Gallup poll is not remarkable. It measured registered voters, not likely voters or levels of enthusiasm, categries in which Republicans have retained significant advantages over the past week and months. That is why Obummer and the donks increasingly avoid facts and issues, and resort to disinformation, misdirection and hysteria. 8-)

See you in November!

The only polls I care about are the ones that happen to be open in November.

These charts are absolutely meaningless unless they're tied to a specific race....

Exactly so. Even in a "sweep" year, the House races are still local.

Posting so I can find this quote easier in November.

There is plenty about which we disagree, skelly, but do you imagine that this concept of "local politics" is a point of disagreement between us? It is not. National issues affect races more in some years and less in others, but individual candidates and local issues always matter.

In any case, Rassmussen polls have historically proven more acurate than Gallup. As of yesterday...

"Republican candidates now hold a nine-point lead over Democrats on the Generic Congressional Ballot for the week ending Sunday, July 18 ... While solid majorities of Democrats and Republicans support the candidates of their respective party, voters not affiliated with either party prefer the Republican candidate by a 47% to 21% margin...."
