Actually Col. my comments were directed at how Montana is overlooked, not JMU. They deserve to be #1 with how they have played. Tall order for the Griz but have to be optimistic.Col Hogan wrote:Man, I couldn't agree more. JMU has been running on luck all season. A poster on AGS hit the nail on the head. No one back east has any idea how good the Griz really are. There are no good teams out West and JMU has beaten all the top teams in the east this year so it should be a blowout. Containing Landers will be a big task but one that is possible as Dally from Poly is the closest thing that the Griz have seen. T.O.P will be huge.

Its nice how they set it up so that EAST will most likely play EAST in the Championship game. And how all the western teams will play in the first 2 rounds. No wonder 2 western teams never make it to the semi's, because they have to play each other in the second round. And this is better than the BCS?

griz score 7 touchdowns, kick 7 extra points and kick 7 field goals. ncaa awards griz a free 7 points just because they're the griz.

I have to agree, it seems this year that the pool did cater to eastern teams somewhat, especially making Cal Poly and Weber and Montana play each other in the span of two weeks, all three of those teams were championship contenders and its bull they had to play each other. They could have easily sent 2 of the FOUR Caa schools out to play Weber and Cal Poly.Wildcat Ryan wrote:Its nice how they set it up so that EAST will most likely play EAST in the Championship game. Weber fcuked that up by losing to EWU. It would not have mattered,
If Weber would have beaten EWU at home that last weekend, this is probably what would have happened:
Montana would still have gotten the the seed and played home to Texas State in the first round.
Weber might have gotten the home game vs Cal Poly.
It wouldnt have mattered, Cause Whether Weber was at home or not, Cal Poly, Weber State, and Montana would have still played each other in a span of 2 weeks.
Home field or not.

Western teams dont want special treatment, we want fairness and want the NCAA to stop being such cheap a$$es and seed all 16 teams. Im sure the NCAA makes enough money.Appaholic wrote:Hey, we can't help it football sucks out west.....you expect special treatment to make up for your deficiencies?SUUTbird wrote: I have to agree, it seems this year that the pool did cater to eastern teams somewhat, especially making Cal Poly and Weber and Montana play each other in the span of two weeks, all three of those teams were championship contenders and its bull they had to play each other. Besides, They have given all the special treatment to the teams of the east, there isnt enough left for the western teams

Key will be Montana's defense. They'll have to seal up the outside to keep Lander's in check...being an opportunist when the z's a go, Montana can't just hold the line, or worse, pile up the tackle/TE like they've done with other soft "I" configurations. They need to keep Corwin and Schillinger (WLB and FS) freed up for the outside, using Lebsock and Anderson for the gaps ...and have the line use stunts and f 'em shows to keep Lander's distracted (not to mention Schillinger's got the speed to match Landers in the backfield). If the Griz D does it right...they'll contain Landers and head to Chatty.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Here's my assessment of the matchups & my pick for the game:

Agree with that assessment. Based upon the video links I have watched, this is a far better D than the Montana D I observed against UCDavis. And JMU hasn't seen this defense yet....certainly didn't get a taste of it against App in Sept. I think JMU is in for a surprise.travelinman67 wrote:Key will be Montana's defense. I, for one, have never doubted that Montana is good...I'm pretty sure JMU is a touch better this year...
If you focus too much on Landers and his running ability, he can pass the ball, which then loosens up that defense...
In fact, it would not surprise me to see JMU come out pass-happy Friday night to do just that...put the defense on its heals...
Then, Landers and company shoot the gaps and become Chatty bound...
It is going to be a great game...no IF about it...

I don't know a fvcking thing about James Madison, so I'm going with the Griz. I wanna see the CAA go down in flames only because of the multitude of smugfvck posters aligned with schools in that conference.
I said it before and I'll say it again. UNI and Montana get in and, for the first time in a long time, there will be two fanbases there at the same time filled with decent, fun, respectful people.
I think of James Madison and I think of worthless khundts like GannonFan, the current agsadmin. I think of Ralph always rooting against UNI in everything because they don't fit in his psychotic "order" of how FCS ought to be, i.e., YSU and GSU and Montana and ASU winning the trophy year after fvcking year, the stoopid fvck.

More likely weber would have knocked one of them out like they were in the first week . What i think is that they need to start recongizing that alot of teams out west are very good to and can compete with teams back east. And definetly alot of fans in this forum. If Weber, Cal Poly or Montana had been placed in the other bracket i garuntee they would be in this coming up weeks game.Col Hogan wrote:And they simply would have knocked Weber a week sooner...and Cal Poly would have plaied the same number of post-season games...SUUTbird wrote: I have to agree, it seems this year that the pool did cater to eastern teams somewhat, especially making Cal Poly and Weber and Montana play each other in the span of two weeks, all three of those teams were championship contenders and its bull they had to play each other.
