She should still be fired because she is still a racist. Have you seen the entire video?

Fact: she was a racist and did not help out the farmers because of their skin color. In fact, the only reason she initially referred them to a white lawyer was because she knew the person who sent her would follow up and she had to show that she tried to help...you, her words. Only later, when a lawyer had taken their money for 6 months, did she feel guilty and tried to help.

During the video, she says a couple times that she learned that it is about poor versus rich, but later in the video she stumbles and comes out and says that it is about black and white. Present time...not in the past.

Furthermore, she tells a story about some black farmer who died and some cousins wanted to force the sale of the land. In the end, the family only sold 62 of the 515 acres...and watch her roll her eyes and get a disgusted face when she says, "and guess what, they already have a WHITE man lined up to buy it, and its the land on the creek which is what he wanted".

Racist.

My grandfather died and one of my uncles forced the sale of the land...we didn't give a flying fvck about the color of the skin of the buyer.

Can you imagine the outrage if a white federal employee at the DOA expressing disgust while saying, "and guess what, they already have a BLACK person lined up to buy it.

She goes on to talk about how black people..."OUR people" (uhhhh...seems she forgot about that part about it not being a black/white thing ) should help each other out. It is about race with her.

Defend her all you want, she is still expressing racist sentiments...CURRENTLY...and she should be dismissed. A white person expressing the same thoughts would be called a racist...or a Tea Party racist. But she gets a new job offer.

Oh, and depsite the NAACP posting that their video is the FULL video...it is not. Anyone notice the funny splice at 20:59? Why was part of the FULL video edited out?

Cluck U is in meltdown mode.

What a typically wonderfully well thought out response from a person who regularly ignores facts and instead posts complaints about how others shouldn't be making more money than him.

No meltdown here...the woman should be fired. Instead, it is just another inconsistency among those who claim to want equality.

This story is freaking awesome. Breitbart doops Fox, the Obama administration, most of the MSM and even the almighty Cluck - at least for a day or so.

The RNC should make Andrew Breitbart chair of the RNC immediately - he is extremely talented. :thumb:

The only people who got duped were the NAACP, the White House, and of course the MSM.
All Brietbart had were snippets. The only entity who had the full tape was the NAACP.

Of course, the NAACP knee-jerked from the media storm which caused the White house to knee-jerk (as it ALWAYS does) and demand for her resignation. The entire tape comes out, the NAACP blames Brietbart for taking her statements out of context even though they had the full tape from the beginning.

You just can't make this sh!t up.

Actually, no, to my knowledge they do not teach reading comprehension at UD - they kinda assume you picked that up in elementary and high school. Guess collegiate reading comprehension class is an Arizona thing...

But hearing this lady's story is quite eye-opening - she's owning up to a human weakness, a mistake, and tries to focus on redemption.

For once it would be nice to get away from the heavily edited gotcha videos and actually listen to what the person is saying...
Totally agree man.

When someone owns up to something that they did wrong and try to make it right then I gotta give them a thumb in the up direction and hope it continues which it very likely will since it took guts to own up to it in the first place.

I can't ever see what is gained by just stomping the shit out of someone for trying to do the right thing. What the hell do you gain by that? You basically take away the option of redemption and force them back to being an asshole racist.

We have all said and done things that we do not mean and felt bad it after the fact. Ours just ain't on TV or a viral video on the net.

Yup, I was under the impression that she made the error in her current job. Whoops! I admitted my mistake.

However, the fact is she is still a racist and making racist statements. In this new world of cleaning out hate, she should be removed from her government job if she feels the need to make public speeches.

I'll repeat for those who are slow...what would happen to a white person in the DOA who, in a meeting of white people, said the following:

"...and guess what? They already have a BLACK man lined up to buy it...and its the land on the creek which is what he wanted".

That person would be railroaded out of the job and forced to resign. What is the diference when Sherrod says the exact same thing about a white person?

And the NAACP video is NOT the full video. Maybe nothing was bad said during the cut part, but that tape, the one the NAACP's website, is claiming to be the FULL video, when clearly it was chopped at the 21 minute mark.
