This game is definetely going to be interesting. We will have to see how Richmond handles the dome feature. Both teams are hot coming into this game.

I am pulling for UNI, since they are considered a western team on this blog, and go Montana.

An all western final.

Fair enough. I'll go with that. If the Panthers can get a two poss. lead early, Richmond won't come back, no way, no how.

Gettin' scary, but gotta agree with T-Man again. Richmond scored 24 pts off of 7 to's against App. Three of those placed the ball inside the 20 on three successive drives which led directly to 17 pts. Even with all of that, App was within 10pts in the 4th quarter. If UNI takes care of the ball and puts up two early score, game over.

Another IF...Again, UNI is a great team...have they played against a defense like Richmond...I don't mean scheme, but physical and fast...

I think this one really is too close to call...I'm pulling for Richmond, but this one will be close...

Good question. IMO, the only opposing team that UNI has faced that might have a defense in Richmond's league would be BYU. Of course the offense has gone against a pretty darn good defense every day in practice.

One of the keys will be the OLs. I know that UNI's OL has jelled over the season (after graduating 4 starters, 2 to the NFL) and has become a very good unit. How good is Richmond's OL?

There is a very strong possibility that both defenses will shut the opposing offenses down and then it will come down to special teams and turnovers.

When the Griz didn't take care of the ball against Weber, they put a 45-spot on us. When we DID take care of the ball, they could only muster 13. It ain't rocket science. The team that wins the turnover battle usually wins the game, when the teams are pretty evenly matched.

And here it is :D.
http://www.udel.edu/PR/UDaily/2008/dec/ ... 0005lg.jpg

Now i personally dont think that Richmond is or was a one shot wonder. They went on the road and won in a very hostile enviroment. Sure App State threw five interceptions but they still stayed close for alot of the game showing how good of a team they really are. Richmond however did as well for being able to captalize on the turnovers and keep App States offense off the field. Richmond will win this one but unlike Capn's predictions it WONT "be over by halftime "

Agreed, it also seems like where Richmond has been getting better UNI has just been consistent...scrapping by, UNI is not invincible in the Dome as UNH has nearly beat them twice in two years and then getting blown apart by Deleware

And don't you forget it.

Perhaps now you'll listen more closely when I say THIS:

Montana - 27
JMU - 21

But JMU can take heart in the fact that they will get 21, which is more than any of Montana's last NINE opponents can say...

Conversely, JMU has FAILED to hold ANY of it's last four opponents to below 24.

I think you get where I'm going with this. :D :D :D
