How many schools have 100% participation in voluntary summer workouts this year? We're having a little debate over on GSUFans.com in regards to voluntary practice over the summer and I just wanted to get the opinion/observation from other 1-aa schools fans about it. Evidently 100% of the players on our roster have spent the summer in Statesboro participating in voluntary workouts and it's kind of exciting for us. I don't think we've ever had a team do that before (even when we were good).
Is this a common thing for other 1-aa schools? I know that the larger I-A programs these summer workouts are more "manditory" than "voluntary"...but it is interesting to hear what other schools are doing this year.

Re: Summer Practice Question
I think about 44 VMI upperclassmen attended the 2nd summer school session (about 25 the first), and Coach very pleased with how they ran and lifted.
1-AA is tops!!

Re: Summer Practice Question
Sometime in the mid 90's, Dexter Coakley took it upon himself to "encourage" all App players who possibly could be in Boone for the summer to do so. I don't know the exact numbers of how many stay in town currently, but I'd imagine that the number is near 100%.
