My thoughts exactly. VMI will do well NEXT season once they have a season of the new offense under their belts. I think CSU has the potential to beat out or tie stony for second. Jay Mills is capable of squeezing blood from stone down in Charleston.

I think that for us to win 4 games this season would be amazing. The State paper in SC says we'll go 1-10. No disrespect to our opponents, but I can see us winning against Coastal, VMI, and NGU.

CSU having to play both LU and SBU on the road drops them to third on my list.

Just like Manson said, CSU has both LU and SB away this year. I also feel that what led to CSU beating SB last year was that SB had looked ahead of them to LU and I don't think that happens this year.

Having to go to LU and SBU and also having a pair of FBS games right before conference games put them at the bottom of the second group for me (5th). the bye week should help but CSU has only won once in Lynchburg since the turn of the 21st century and has been blown out their last two trips.

I'm jkin'. I don't know what I'm talkin' 'bout. I would pick them third behind LU and SB, but I'm out of it. My wife could pick the Big South better than I could.

G-W has a problem laying an egg when it really matters (especially at the end of the season) and that is something that wasnt forgotten by the coaches and SIDs yesterday. If G-W can avoid a late season swoon they could finish top 3...having LU , CCU and SBU in consecutive weeks (LU and SBU on the road) doesnt lend well to a high finish though

Yeah having those 3 games in a row is tough. It's been the same for the last couple of years. Does anyone know if they change the rotation of conference games or do they generally repeat the same sequence year after year for each team? I did notice that unlike last season when GWU played VMI as their 1st conference game, this season VMI is our last conference game.

LU probably has the most favorable schedule of everyone in conference right now. G-W CSU and SBU at home and VMI on the road (where they havent lost I believe) and PC on the road (with a major dose of revenge on their mind). The toughest game outside of SBU to close out is CCU in Conway. before 2008 LU had lost both previous meetings at Brooks Stadium and CCU plays very well at home, especially when the lights are on.

I think VMI will be our last game each year for the foreseeable future. The Big South sure doesn't shake up the football schedule, but if you look how they put together the mens hoops slate last year, it is like a first grader did it.

I hope not. I just don't know what to think of CCU this year. We don't really have a leader on the team. This year is our first really big overhaul with the coaching staff so im hoping for better succes that we had the last few years.
