So those are the permanent bleachers? Do they at least switch up and allow the visitors to have the home side when you host Montana?

it's going down (it's also best to take it in gradually)...

With a sizeable portion down now, I think I can safely say it's not as rough on the eyes as Bosie St's smurfturf.

The thing with Boise St's field, to my eyes anyway, is that it's not that far from green, but far enough that it makes my eyes (or brain maybe) have to constantly reconcile what I'm seeing vs what I'm used to when I watch football.

This red is so different from what I'm used to that my brain says, OK, this is completely different, and it can relax.

I really think the red is not going to be as bad as I first envisioned. This does not mean that we shouldn't ridicule EWU folks mercilessly about it though. :thumb:

I didn't put in my sig for no reason. I'm on the bandwagon, Griz are done.

Turf looks good, and considering the sun never shines in the pacific northwest, I don't think the fans will have to worry about glare.

Funny. The sun is bright and there is not a cloud in the sky over Spokane/Cheney right now.

Even though it's a knockoff of WSU's. But I agree, ours looks better. :thumb:

The thing about Boise's though it the turf is (was) much older, made out of a different synthetic material giving it that glare. They actually just replaced their turf to a newer material that doesn't give off glare, so it shouldn't be too bad. Personally, I like their blue turf. And it's definitely bright and sunny today in Cheney. I'm gonna head up to the Rec Center in a bit for a workout, I'll bring a camera and stop by the field and get some pics to post.

Well the field is definitely as bright red as it looks in the construction cam, perhaps a slight bit darker. It's fucking awesome! :D No noticeable glare, just bright ass red. It'll change shades pretty dramatically depending on the weather and shadows, so it'll be all sorts of red.

Forgive the crappy pics, I borrowed my roommate's P&S since my camera is temporarily out of commish.

And here's the mockup that the SprinTurf crew are using. The logo in the center will go from the 42 to the 42, so nice and big. :thumb: The blue portions are where there's track surface (which might be painted black I heard... I really really hope they do).

Those pics look like a photoshop for some reason.

It'd be nice to get an up-close pic on the turf. :thumb:

It's not as "terrible" as I thought it would be.

However, I still don't think that I like it.

I color-corrected them a little to get the true red value to show, since the P&S I was using produced more of a magenta tone.

Even better, here are some good shots from John Demke in Marketing/Comm Dept. who I interned under (video), with better light (earlier in the day).
