FOOTBALL BEARS REPORT SATURDAY

CONWAY, Ark _ The University of Central Arkansas football Bears report to camp on Saturday and begin fall drills on Sunday in preparation for their season opener on Sept. 2.

The Bears will open practice at 3:45 on Sunday, and practice at the same time through next Friday. The first scrimmage of fall camp is set for Saturday, Aug. 14.

UCA will play six home games this season, including to be broadcast on the Southland Conference Television Network. The UCA-Southeastern Louisiana game on Oct. 30, which is also Homecoming, will be shown on SLC TV, as well as conference road games at Stephen F. Austin (Oct. 16) and Texas State (Nov. 6).

The Bears will hold Photo/Media Day at 1:30 on Thursday, Aug. 19 at First Security Field at Estes Stadium.

First-year head coach Robin Pflugrad and The University of Montana Grizzlies will begin preparing for the 2010 football season, as UM holds its first practice on Tuesday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the South Campus practice fields located on South and Higgins.

All players are scheduled to report on Sunday August 8, with physicals slated for the following day, Monday, August 9.

The Grizzlies have three scrimmages slated in Washington-Grizzly Stadium during fall camp: Tuesday, August 17, Saturday, August 21, and Thursday, August 26.

I know the Runnin' Bulldogs had meetings all day, some guys that haven't been in summer school had physicals, lot's of NCAA required paperwork to fill out, equipment handed out, etc.. Team and position meetings today, condition testing and then first real practice at 4:30 this afternoon. Time to get it on!!!

When I was at Towson, the first day is check in, equipement assigned, meetings, physical, weight lifting tests(bench, incline, squat) and running test (12 minute run) and more meetings.

The schedule that mlbowl posted bor Montana look idea for players. WTF? We had two a days straight through, with an afternoon or two off here or there.

Oh and Towson reported on Wednesday.
