Absolutely. That sucked just as much and we gave them just as much grief. What was your point?
My point was that you should look in the mirror before giving other conferences shit. But then again, disparaging the Big Sky is a pretty much a bodily function for you.

Yes, everytime that I hope something good will come of EWU football I find myself swimming upstream. I should learn my lesson about rooting for anything good for you lovable losers.

Hey slick, if you guys ever even get to the game to let us down then we'll talk. Until then try winning against that first rounder when and if you even make the playoffs which is a rare event for ya. I will be sittin' there watching you EWU bastards having all your hopes & dreams dashed once we blow up the basket that you are putting all your eggs in.

Looking forward to seeing you there and posing for some pictures for you. :thumb:

Your support is sincerely appreciated (I'm BF's good cop). :thumb:

Drove by it twice yesterday for the first time in a week and it looks way better than I thought it would. I don't recall the black sidelines in any of the drawings and couple that with the numbers and enzones being down and it's loosing some of the brightness. I believe they were also unloading the rubber pellets when I went by in the morning and the trucks were gone when I came back in the afternoon so I think that also mellows the color out.

And lost in the color is the fact that it's artificial turf. We have always been built on speed and have tended to struggle with big, physical teams like the Griz and Weber at home on the grass. This should help immensely.

It's looking really, really good and most (reasonable) football fans (including opposing) who see it (especially in person) will agree.

Oh, and one more thing.

I would personally like to invite 89hen out for the Griz game on the 18th. You spring for airfare, accomodations, and food and I might even treat you to a beer. That's about how much I care about your opinion on the color of the turf. :coffee:

Will you spring for the eye doctor bill for the damage to my retinas? Not only do I have to watch two teams who don't know they can give scholarships for defensive players, they are playing on a red field.

BTW gatw, NOW I'm disparaging your conference. 8-)

Can anyone who has seen it in the last 24 hours comment on whether the infill pellets have been installed yet and whether they tone it down at all?

Welcome new guy. A small piece of advice. DO NOT, under any circumstance, listen, reply, comment, spoon, praise, reach-around, etc....to Urpus. He is an ass and shouldn't be trusted. :thumb:

Welcome again.

The addition of all the black and white trim (sounds like a fun porno! ) and the numbers on the field, it's not as bright. I'm gonna head up there again today to check it out and I'll report back.

Hey BF and SE, why did you put that big section in the endzone and not replace the visitor side? :?
I dont know why they installed endzone seating b4 the upgraded the visitors side. EWU had plans drawn up in '02 that would include:

New stadium entrance & ticket purchasing area : Complete
New lockerrooms : Complete
New Pressbox: Complete
More seating on the 'home' side on both sides of the pressbox: Incomplete
Endzone seating: Complete
Perm visitors side grand stand: incomplete
New turf: Complete
New Scoreboard: Still pending.

This was supposed to be the new woodward field, and the finished product would have been somewhere around 15k. Somewhere down the line, the visitors side, & additional home side per seating got skipped over. I dont know the reason why.

I think that maybe they figured if they did a few of these things and got interest generated then they could work on the seating that would produce more revenue going forward.

What do you think they should work on next though? I would think that making the entire stadium look better by working on the completion or upgrade of the visitor side is more important than the home side. The stadium would then have a more complete feel to it.
