is there not gonna be a logo on the field? I just checked it out for the first time since the first week the cam was posted. its dark out so im not for sure but it dont look like any sort of logo is on the turf.

if you had read like 8 posts up you would have seen that they arrive later this week. Im sure EWU is going to spend all that money on red turf and not leave a little to pay for the logos to be put in haha

in all honesty though, the field looks sweet. Now. but in a few years, if I was an ewu season ticket holder, I would hate it. Not beause its going to fade or anything like that, but just because of how obnoxious its going to get. Like dont get me wrong, its sweet, but some day down the road your going to be sitting at a game saying Da**** i hate this field. Especially with all the sun eastern washington gets, though that ends midway through the season

I dont know why they installed endzone seating b4 the upgraded the visitors side. EWU had plans drawn up in '02 that would include:

New stadium entrance & ticket purchasing area : Complete
New lockerrooms : Complete
New Pressbox: Complete
More seating on the 'home' side on both sides of the pressbox: Incomplete
Endzone seating: Complete
Perm visitors side grand stand: incomplete
New turf: Complete
New Scoreboard: Still pending.

This was supposed to be the new woodward field, and the finished product would have been somewhere around 15k. Somewhere down the line, the visitors side, & additional home side per seating got skipped over. I dont know the reason why.

I think that maybe they figured if they did a few of these things and got interest generated then they could work on the seating that would produce more revenue going forward.

What do you think they should work on next though? I would think that making the entire stadium look better by working on the completion or upgrade of the visitor side is more important than the home side. The stadium would then have a more complete feel to it.

For some reason it looks a lot brighter up close than it does from a distance. I like it so far, but with the logos laid down I think it will look even better.

I've honestly tried to give the turf a chance. But I am officially feeling sorry for the Big Sky fans who travel to EWU and have to somehow stomach looking at that. It also makes me feel sorry for the EWU fans who have to actually try and defend it to everybody else. "OH yeah it's great! No I love it!"
Black and Red were my high school colors and I thought it could succeed, it does not.
It also is making me rethink whether or not SDSU should go with Blue turf that has been hinted at over the last couple years. Now I'm leaning no. However, Boise State's is pretty sweet blue, so at least someone kind of paved the way there.

I really don't understand...I am a traditionalist (love the grass field, simple endzone designs, etc.), but I think the field is starting to look really good. Maybe too many passed judgement on this before seeing the finished product.
