CS.com fantasy football

Post by clenz »

I set up a fantasy football league for this fall on ESPN. I know we don't have a lot of people set up for the baseball league, but I think the interest in football is higher than it is for baseball.

I have it set for 12 teams right now, but I can/will change that if need be.

I have very random points set up right now, as I have it set up for a high scoring league. I can/will change those if wanted by the rest of the leauge.

If interested let me here, then send me a PM with your information so that I can invite you.

Bump...

I know it's still early but I'd like to get the league filled up so we can set the stuff before the season gets going.

Just my :twocents: :

1. I don't usually start thinking about FF-ball until late-July/August timeframe.

2. I don't join leagues with exotic scoring. Rightly or wrongly, I always have a suspicion that the commish did some research to cook up a scheme where only he will know the best players to draft to fit the scheme. Sure, I could try to match the research baed on the particular scoring system, but what a PITA. I just stick to standard leagues, for which I already have a system I use.

1 - I don't care when you think about it, if you join now you don't have to think about drafting until then. I'm not going to set the draft for a bit.

2 - if you think I'm going to do some bull shit research to fit my scheme you are way off. I set it for a point per yard passing, rushing, recieving, 6 points for a TD pass, rush, and catch, etc... Not really exotic, just higher scoring. It will reward people for having a more balanced team rather than drafting a goal line running back who is good for 1 or 2 TD's a game with 28 yards. It will balance out having a WR on a team that only throws for 150-200 a game because of the rushing attack that they may have.

I have 2 spots that don't have invites as of right now. I have invites out to 4 people...only 2 of them post here. If I don't hear by 3 central tomorrow I'll shrink the league to fit what I have...If I get more requests I'll add teams

There are some people who didn't want to be in it if it was people they didn't know from the board.

That thing looks more like the creature from Never Ending Story than it does a cat.

For those who don't read the emails I sent from the league...ESPN kicked us out of our draft time last night at like 7:10 Central and I couldn't reset the draft for last night. So it has been reset for tomorrow night at the same time.

There are some non CS.com players over there, I know them they are good people.

I had remembered the day and time when it was on Sunday, and even remembered the change come Tuesday morning. Completely forgot later though and missed the draft. Epic fail on my part. Oh well, I'm already in 2 other leagues. You guys enjoy your extra bye's when you play me.

And a giant fuck you for a massive FAIL on having the draft CANCELED when most of us were ready to PICK on Sunday night.

I totally forgot on Tuesday night until about 9:00 p.m...

I'm not unhappy with my team...except Eli fucking Manning. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

You can thank ESPN for that one.

I didn't touch a damn thing, then Team ZPE called me an hour and a half before the draft and asked why the hell there was no draft. I had no idea, as I hadn't touched it. I got on quickly and tried to get it going again, but ESPN woudln't let me set a draft anymore.

ESPN fucked that up, not I.
