If I can sell this beach property we've seriously entertained a condo/small place in Boone or Blowing Rock...maybe sometime before I'm dead that will come to fruition.

Why do that when we can get a block of rooms at the Scottish Inn?

We actually had to "upgrade" to the Red Carpet Inn behind the Scottish Inn for our Gathering this year. If you can believe this, the Scottish Inn was already booked to capacity....

The Scottish Inn is always booked to capacity. Since it's in the middle of Boone and a fraction the cost of the other (decent) places to stay, it stays in business.

I was gonna say "this ain't unabomber country", but then I realized that Eric Rudolph was on the loose for months in the mountains of North Carolina, rummaging dumpsters for food and whatnot, so that really took away from my potential witty comment.

Go ahead AG1, pitch your tent wherever you see fit. Roam around the countryside and break into homes at night for spending money if you'd like. Most of the shit that flies in Montana apparently flies in North Carolina too.
