Trillions in debt.. "nothing to show for it"

Post by ChickenMan »

from a Democrat Senator.. Michael Bennet,Colo

Sen. Michael Bennet’s recent appearance in Greeley, Colorado is sure to set political tongues wagging–Bennet is quoted as saying that though trillions of dollars of Federal debt has been incurred through spending since he was appointed to the Senate in January of 2009, “we have nothing to show for it”

a) He's being as hyprocritical as any deficit hawk republican that ran up the debt under Bush.

b) The telling statistic in the article is that we have had a net 0 gain in jobs since 1998.

One more example of how Reaganomics and Clinton's Free Trade policies screwed our economy.

Oh, please. Reagan and Clinton didn't have to deal with 9/11, Katrina and the oil spill.   Think those things might have had a tad bit to do with our economy?

According to my dad, who gets all his news from Fox and Rush, the oil spill got worse because we tried to clean it up. Had we just let it leak everywhere and the Fed not gone in, BP would have had everything under control. :ohno:

Oh yeah, also all the oil that was spilled is now completely gone and the amount of oil that was spilled was completely insignificant. I swear I am not making this shit up. :ohno:
