Seriously, both your parties are thinning out greatly in the middle and now just receeding to their respective, radical, edges. And both parties are now just focused on trying to highlight the radicalness of the other party. Basically what the rest of us swing voters have been doing is just seeing how long we can tolerate either of you and then just go to the other party by default. We went with the Dems in '06 and '08 as the default choice since the GOP blew it, and many are now going with the GOP in '10 since the Dems have blown it. But hey, by all means, just focus on the other party and all of their failings - personal introspection isn't something either party does well.
