Those were replicas and not the actual game jerseys. Although similar, the actual game uniforms are reportedly different.

I don't think they're asleep at the wheel, I think they're messing with us...because they can. Honestly, who would design that shit and say "looks great, top notch." There's no way, I think it's more realistic they're saying, "Wow, that is shitty, let's see if how many people will buy this shit and think it's awesome." And, guess who was right.

Hate to tell you this but Nike didn't "choose" ASU to wear those uniforms. Last year would have been a different story as only a few select college teams were offered them, but this year any team in America, even high schools, can buy them. Now before you go off on me saying I don't know what I'm talking about you need to know all this was confirmed by ASU's equipment manager. He is also quite amused by all the ASU fans running on about how ASU was singled out to wear these things. And before you cite the story on goasu.com as proof, you better go back and read it a tad more closely. The release simply says Nike is providing ASU with an alternate uniform and nowhere in the story is there a mention of any type of exclusivity. It does mention other schools like Miami and TCU wore them last season. ASU has gotten into the habit of wearing an alternate uniform each season then selling them to make money. This year I don't know if they will find enough takers for those horrible looking things.

The jerseys looked better in person than I was expecting...still vastly prefer the last design but oh well. The pants were just weird and the script on the helmet doesn't show up well at all...

Put me in the camp that actually liked the App Pro Combats. The stripe on the sides along with the shoulders blended well into the black pants. Thought they looked cool.

No doubt. I remember saying they were hideous when T-Dog posted the link here for the first time. This is the third year in a row that App has worn some sort of alternate or throw back jersey. I've liked all three iterations. Not to mention that the team is undefeated in every game they've been worn.

Totally agree. From a distance, you can see the whole effect of the uniform and you're far enough away not to really notice the hideous design they put on the shoulders. Much better from a proper perspective.

And I still dig the Montana uni. I liked that one from the start.
