That unranked fbs opponent would be ranked top 10 in fcs genius. All you need to focus on is the beatdown ewu is gonna put on sac.

Do you also expect a win over Stanford like Super Hornet is predicting?

:blah: :die:

You can try and spin it however you want, but more is expected of ranked teams. Way to represent the top 25 EWU

No.

Super isnt even liked on his own teams' message board, his opinions are absolutely meaningless and irrational.

I will be at the game and I'm hoping that it's not as lopsided as the EWU game, but who knows, they could completely blow the Hornets out. Fortunately, I'm not delusional like Super.

Its a sure thing, and you know it. You wish NutSac St. was as good as EWU. Whens the last time Sac has won a conf championship?

Did you actually watch the game, or are your opinions based off of the score alone? EWU was in the game for most of the second and third quarters. We gave up a lot of yards and points, but let's get real for a minute - Nevada had the #1 offense in FBS last year. They dropped 70 points on Idaho, so to think they wouldn't do the same to any other Big Sky team (including Sac State) is just silly.

No I didnt watch the game, however, I did look at the stats and box score.

I never said Sac State would've have done better so bringing them into this is pointless. I simply said that a team ranked at #13 in the FCS should have had a better showing against an FBS team that wasnt ranked. Regardless of how well EWU did up until a certain point, Nevada still doubled them up in points. I would say the same about any FCS program that is ranked, it's not personal.

Don't take offense to my opinion, because it's just that, my opinion.

You have less credibility than Super Hornet.

I will now exercise my option to ignore all of your posts because honestly, I cannot handle your idiocy.

No offense taken whatsoever. I understand your point, but your contention that EWU should have done better than we did simply because we are ranked in FCS doesn't really fly. Just as "playing down" to Division II opposition isn't really indicative of what sort of FCS team you have, the same is true of "playing up", where the differences in depth start to become more apparent the longer the game goes on.

How would a Sac State fan even know how a top-25 ranked team is supposed to perform? When was the last time you guys were ranked?

You didn't watch the game and seem to be unaware that Nevada had the best or second best offense in all of college football last year, so any opinions you have to offer aren't worth a whole lot. :twocents:

I don't even know how to respond to a statement like that, it makes no sense. You're saying that because Sac State has never been ranked in the top 25, "I" wouldnt know anything about being ranked? That doesnt make any sense and is very weak smack.

Again, I was talking about the EWU game, not about Sac State. You're trying to do whatever you can to divert attention away from my original post because you know what I said had some merit.

Actually, u dont know what your talking about, bc if you did you would know most fbs teams would smoke ANY fcs team ranked or unranked. Instead of focusing on EWU's performance..concentrate on helping Sac get to .500

What you said has no merit. It's ignorant opinion. Just because Nevada isn't ranked (yet), and EWU is (FCS) ranked, doesn't mean that we should beat them or barely lose. Fact of the matter is, Nevada had the #1 or #2 offense in FBS last year, and we we're driving on them in the 4th, only down by 11. The box score doesn't tell the whole story, and since you didn't watch the game, your opinion doesn't really hold much water. Stop acting like an idiot.

You don't think the SacSt BSC record of 34-74 gives them a right to smack the #2 BSC team over the last ten years? It's the same thing with these guys every year.

Funny how SELA only lost by 6 to Tulane, an FBS opponent and SELA isnt ranked. No, they didnt win, but they did better than EWU did against their FBS opponent.

Again, for all you tards out there bringing Sac State into this, I NEVER mentioned Sac State and NEVER compared them to EWU. I don't even think they'll do as well as EWU did tomorrow against Stanford, I really don't know where all this ignorance is coming from.

What the hell do you mean Kema, are you even following any of this, no one is talking about Sac State here except you and one other poster.

Seriously, how dense are you guys?

I don’t mean to get in here and break up the BF-Herky-SE threesome that is going on but to play devils advocate, Nevada also boasted one of the worst pass defenses last year so the argument can also be made that the Nevada defense made BLM look a lot better than he really is. Personally I think EWU held their own and put up a fight for portions of the game.

Thanks Kem, I was wondering when you were going to pop in with that stat. That’s about the only thing you have said here on CS.com this past offseason. While you are at it, why not just post a few pics of Wa-Griz Stadium.

I think the simple truth of the matter is that Nevada is an FBS team and EWU isn't. You can "expect" all you want from a highly ranked FCS squad vs an unranked FBS squad, but there is still a significant talent difference. An incredibly talented JMU team (led by Rodney Landers) lost to Duke (who is unquestionably worse than Nevada) 31-7. That year JMU advanced to the semi-finals of the playoffs.

FBS teams are going to win 95+% times against FCS squads, that's just how it is. It's not like EWU got run out of the building last night. Despite the QB issues (which have already been beaten into the ground in this thread) EWU was still hanging around and causing a ton of Nevada fans to sweat well into the third quarter. That fumble killed their chances at winning the game, but they were by no means embarrassed.

Losing in the first game of the season with a new starting QB to a team that has more scholarships and more overall talent does not mean that EWU is a bad football team. I'm sure they're disappointed that they didn't win/play better last night, but the better team definitely won. For every Appalachian State vs Michigan game out there there are 100s of EWU vs Nevada games.

They played very basic/vanilla schemes, and executed average to well last night... according to Pack fans on their message board. Your irrelevant opinions are worth something though... they're great for wiping my ass with. :thumb:
