SE is the only poster I have ever read, that honestly and truly has me wondering what Lyndsey Lohan was up to last evening.
Your like trying to high 5 that midget with no arms, that Grizo posted a video about.

Meh, Our D is averaging 28 points/game.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:That's not necessarily a good thing. Against a team that can hold their own, your defense is going to be on the field a long time. Ball control is crucial.BearIt wrote:
Look at it this way
2009 TOP was 31:28 minutes with 38 Points (offense) = 1.21 points/minute
2010 TOP was 20:02 minutes with "only" 45 points (offense): 2.25 points/minute
That's almost double the scoring rate of last year. That's a huge difference.

Funny that you are using this argument now because last year when I was saying that although Taiwan is a spectacular back he might be lacking as far as the ball control effect goes and you were wholly against it that point as any sort of indicator of success. All you wanted to do was profess that he had a high average because he would rip off a lot of great 30+ yd. runs but would also get shit holed for losses and small gains.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:That's not necessarily a good thing. Re: Montana vs Western State...
There's more to offense than just your #1 RB. We had ball control the way Nichols surgically advanced the ball 6-10 yards at a time through the air, with the occasional big play down the field. I didn't say ball control was a bad thing at all... we need(ed) a bruising type of back that could grind out games for us. I think we have that with Darriell Beaumonte this year. Ball control with the threat of the big play is what all teams desire.Ursus A. And yet, you inferred that we don't have that with the like of Chase Reynolds, Dan Moore, Gerald Kemp, Peter Ngyuen, and not one but two pretty darn good QB's.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:There's more to offense than just your #1 RB. Oh, I guess we have two on the Payton watch list so I think we'll be OK there. Of course, I'm sure you're right though.

Really? On the manly scale your probably down a rung or two on that ladder so you can see why I assumed you were trying to be ironic and humorous. Re: Montana vs Western State...
Apology accepted.
Re: Montana vs Western State...
Impressions I had of the Griz
1) Hobbs and Duncan DT's will make it very difficult for opponents to run on the inside . D-line is very stout.
2) Except for when Western State went to 4 wide receivers the Griz were mostly moving the weakside linebacker down on the line and blitzing almost every down. Sometimes there was a switch of same blitz except with safety and LB dropped in coverage.
3) Liked their jail break blitz where they rushed all three linebackers, two of them up middle while having the DT stunting.
4) Peter Nyugen will be the most dangerous punt/KR in the league and is very talented. Has instincts like Danny Woodhead did for Chadron a few years ago without the lower body strength.
5) Griz bragged about their fast pace offense all offseason, but they really didn't look any faster than most of the spread offenses I have seen that don't huddle. Although after years of Bobby Hauck and ground and pound everything would seem a lot faster.
6) Griz defense is deep, fast, and talented as any in the country.
7) Offense while explosive with Sambrano over the top, wasn't in a very good rhythm all game.

This is most definitely not SE's best work. He's just going to the well too many times on too many subjects.
I've seen him kick people's teeth in with some very good, original material. This time it just isn't happening.
I think AZGriz may have gotten SE's login info.

#5 is where there may be some disconnect because what you said is exactly what Griz fans have been saying and it doesn't seem like that is the message those outside of Griz nation have been receiving.
In other words I agree completely with your #5, and if I've said anything that has appeared different than that then it was a misunderstanding on the people receiving it.
The offense was definitely not on par with where they will be in about week 7 or 8 so I hope that we can hang on until then.
