Fine. If that's TRULY the case, then instead of being an enabler and allowing people to use these programs indefinitely, lets truly give them a leg up, require they get an education....that they provide some civil service for the money and that there be a fucking TIME LIMIT on the myriad social programs that have been developed to lift people out of poverty but instead only encourage them to stay IN poverty because it's free money.OSBF wrote:people, most people, are not destitute, un-employed, under employed, etc etc because they choose to be89Hen wrote: Not necessarily. There are those don't have and those that choose not to have. HUGE difference IMO.
i do, however, understand the need of the conservative to rationalize and justify failure to reach out to those in need
easier than admitting being greedy, selfish, or that you just don't care about anybody but yerself
It has absolutely NOTHING to do with "rationalizing failure" and WAY more to do with applying LOGIC. We've dumped $500 billion dollars into a "war on poverty" and gained NOTHING. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
You're the fucking poster child for that definition.
