*SFA AT UNI*
Re: *SFA AT UNI*
I've never been big on making predictions. Especially this early in the season.
Don't know all that much about SFA. Sounds like they have a good offense, but it's tough to really judge based on their previous games (getting rolled by a BCS team, and rolling a limited-scholarship team).
UNI's defensive front seven looks awesome this year, but the secondary hasn't really been tested.
And UNI's offense definitely shows potential, but there are sloppy areas that need to be cleaned up.

meh. Catmom's thread hijack is no worse than your hijacking of the volleyball thread on PN with talk of burritos.

No, but her fixation on Jeremy Moses is pretty wierd thoughJayJ79 wrote:meh. Catmom's thread hijack is no worse than your hijacking of the volleyball thread on PN with talk of burritos.
I'll give her a little credit for her assesment on the offense for Jeremy Moses State University. Last year, he definately had a tenedency to stare down his recievers, and was int prone. However, I think simply staying with the receivers is a little rediculous. Thats way easier said than done, especially if you are a little unsure about your secondary.
I have seen it mentioned that SFA is a little banged up on the O and D lines. This could be a game changer, if UNI's lines are as good as people are indicating.
On D. If SFA's D line can hold up then we should be in good shape. We have an excellent group of LB's, physical and fast.
I know you are still breaking in a new QB. What type of running game do you have? Power, speed, a good combo of the two?
Edit: Almost forgot, RIght now I am giving UNI the slight edge for being at home. Either one of these teams are very capable of winning this game.

30-13 UNI.
Maybe.
Maybe.

Pistol and speed. We very well be the fastest team in the conference. Our rb went for 158 on 14 carries and our qb ran for 96 and threw for 176. The option plays for us will be devastating at times this year. I think we have 4 WR that are 4.45 and a rb and qb just as fast.FWJack wrote:No, but her fixation on Jeremy Moses is pretty wierd thoughJayJ79 wrote:meh. We need more of a power game though. We have that last week and we win 38-3.
The burrito thing I didn't start
Re: *SFA AT UNI*
Question, who was the first team All SLC Qb last season? Second Question, who was the SLC Offensive Player of the Year last season? Hint: Two different players and neither of them had the last name Moses.SFA Fan!!! wrote:HAHA, Well i believe you 14 of you guys points came in the 4th qtr when U of H starters were clearly out of the game... Plus are we really comparing U of H and Texas A&M??? No Mam.Confrence USA and the Big 12??? You guys could of gave a better fight than that lady. Does not matter if you are sick of Moses or not, Hes a great Qb who put up great numbers this past season. Best QB last year and this year in the Southland Conference. PERIOD!!! You right, you can choose whoever you will like to root for, its cool, Just make sure you pack kleenex when you guys come to Nac so you can be prepared to whipe your tears away after SFA stump Texas State...

I still say Pancheros is better. If Pablos didn't use cheap ass store bought Aztec Tortillas they probably would get the edge, but I can't give the edge to someone who charges for toppings you get for free at Pancheros AND uses cheap ass tortillas.
Oh well. On subject, I'll take UNI this week.
Re: *SFA AT UNI*
I'll give a slight edge to UNI since its at the UNI Dome.
I believe it will come down to a field goal and I have no clue who our kicker is this season so I'll say 45-42 UNI.
Hopefully I'm wrong and SFA comes in and wins.

UNI's defense will NOT give up 42 points in a game.sfajack05 wrote:I'll give a slight edge to UNI since its at the UNI Dome.

Seriously, I didn't even know there was a college called Stephen F. Austin.

Re: *SFA AT UNI*
They are the team that our punter/TE Justin Overman tore his knee apart and broke his leg all in the same punt in 2004 (I think). He played for the same HS I did, and married a sister of the twin sisters that were in my class growing up. I saw replays of it, looked painful.Cap'n Cat wrote:Seriously, I didn't even know there was a college called Stephen F. Austin.

You should remember SFA since UNI's running back was on the ESPN top 10 plays back in 2003 when he broke off a big play when UNI played SFA down in Nacogdoches.Cap'n Cat wrote:Seriously, I didn't even know there was a college called Stephen F. Austin.
