Here's all you need to know about Delaware:

Registered Democrats - 292,738
Registered Republicans - 182,796
Registered Independents - 146,212

Despite the disparity, Castle has won every race he's been in for over 20 years. Why? He's moderate. He got the independent vote, and even some of the democrats.

That's also why his party's voters just threw him under the bus. They made 'moderate' into 'liberal'. Now they're going to pay.

O'Donnell is going to get slaughtered in November. There's really no question about it. It's quite clear that her platform is radical and that doesn't play well here. She'll lose by at least 5, if not 10 percent, even with the flood of tea party money streaming in to her. Book it.

In a normal election year, absolutely, she'd have no chance in hell. But I'm sure the demographics for Scott Brown were even worse in Mass and he was able to pull it off. No doubt O'Donnell has baggage galore and can come off quite kooky, but the demographics mean little if the majority is uninterested and stays home while the minority comes out in droves. I don't think anything is normal about this year.

Scott Brown isn't comparable. He is a moderate... he ran as a moderate and he's served as a moderate.

I certainly don't hate O'Donnell, but I'll be damned if I'll be represented by a radical quack that has defaulted on college payments, her mortgage, owes back taxes, and hasn't met an ultraconservative religious movement she didn't like. I'm not a big fan of putting my politics and my religion in a blender. They commented on that in the Constitution I believe. Anyone who preaches chastity and condemns masturbation for single people all in the same breath is just asking for a repressed, fucked up society. I like Fox News, but there isn't a single show on FNC that I watch regularly. I also favor Fox Business, Bloomberg, CNBC, History Channel, History International, Animal Planet, Nat Geo, Discovery, Science Channel, Military Channel, and occasionally MSNBC for Morning Joe or Hardball once in a while.

Maybe what you say about her is true, maybe not. Your predictions may come true, but it is also factual that Mike Castle voted for Cap and Tax and to impeach Bush, and takes money from the SEIU. The SEIU leadership deserves nothing but cement overshoes.

Seems like the good folks in Delaware are a forgiving bunch.

---

In 1987, Biden quit the Democratic primary race early after the revelation that he had delivered, without attribution, passages from a speech by British Labor party leader Neil Kinnock. A barrage of subsidiary revelations by the press also hammered Biden’s image: a serious plagiarism incident from his law-school years, boastful exaggerations of his academic record at a New Hampshire campaign event, and the discovery of other quotations in Biden’s speeches pilfered from past Democratic politicians.

(Excerpt) Read more at nationalreview.com ...

A few more details from Wikipedia article:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Biden

A few days later, Biden's plagiarism incident in law school came to public light.[18] It was also revealed that when earlier questioned by a New Hampshire resident about his grades in law school, Biden had falsely stated that he had graduated in the "top half" of his class, that he had attended law school on a full scholarship, and that he had received three degrees in college. He had in fact earned a single B.A. with a double major in history and political science, had received a half scholarship to law school based on financial need with some additional assistance based in part upon academics, and had graduated 76th of 85 in his law school class.[129]

I can understand that O'Donnell isn't the ideal candidate by a long shot but just remember that any vote against a GOP candidate in the mid terms is a tacit endorsement of pelosi, reid, and to a lesser extent Obama- all of whom have damaged and will continue to damage this country far worse than this lady will... careful what you wish for...

Ughhh.

Are there no viable non-preachy right wing christian tea bag candidates (Engle, Palin, Paul, this one)? If the Democrats are gonna get spanked at least it should by some semi-rational, non-hysterical, non-do-gooder types. :ohno:

If you believe in higher taxes, high government spending, low economic growth, and high unemployment, and you believe that a government elite should make spending decisions for you, then you should without a doubt vote Democrat. If you live in Delaware, this means you should vote for Harry Reid's favorite candidate Chris Coons, the self-described "bearded marxist," who is on record this week in favor of Obama, Obamacare and Obama's finreg.

If you believe in lower taxes, reduced government spending, high economic growth and low unemployment, and if you would like to decide for yourself how to spend your hard earned money, you should without a doubt vote Republican. If you live in Delaware, this means you should vote for O'Donnel.

Gosh, that's what I got when I voted Republican.

So you're saying they're all worthless assholes?

Maybe we can agree on something.

Btw, I think I'm going to go with the worthless asshole that at least won't preach to me about how to live my life. :thumb:

Castle voted for things like cap and trade so what is the difference between him and a democrat? Nothing.

That's my whole point knucklehead. There are millions of independant/disenfranchised moderates who would vote Republican if they nominated someone who kept their religiosity closer to the vest. Or do you think preachy doesn't count if an "R" is behind the name. The sooner you get post partisan, the sooner you'll understand.

Little George actually created 8 million jobs before the Dems took over Congress in 2006. NOT as in "saved or created," rather as in CREATED actual jobs. Not sayin' Georgie didn't have deep flaws, just sayin'. I don't really give a sh!t what O'Donnel says about masturbation, as long as she votes for lower taxes, less government, and lower spending.

I certainly get it, kalm. I grew up in the Bible belt and never cared for the preachiness of my Baptist neighbors, but the hypocrisy of the left on this issue is infinite.

If O'Donnel is smart, she will indeed keep her religiosity close to the vest and stay strictly on a jobs, smaller government and economic growth message. Period.

But if she decides she wants to tell me something about masturbation, then I will be from Missouri. She will have to show me. She is actually cute in a Gidget kind of way.

In the meantime I recommend voting for a dead dog over voting for any Democrat.

I am not complaining about that. Hell, I hope the idiots just keep piling on, because as long as she stays on message, I think the negativity will help her.

What I am saying is that Castle is an idiot for not calling and congratulating her for the victory. Castle's comments AFTER the primary show he was very deserving of the loss.

60,000+ Republicans voted in the primary, the highest turnout in years. Do their voice mean nothing to Mike Castle? How did he lose their trust?
