Thanks for posting pictures of the refurbished Bridgeforth Stadium! Great day to be a Duke.

I would give almost anything to be in Harrisonburg tonite. Can't imagine what Fox and Forrest Hills will look like in the morning. I attended the last JMU/Tech matchup in 2003 with my Hokie dad. This was sweet, sweet redemption.

Congrats to JMU. You did the FCS and CAA proud. :thumb:

Wish I could say congrats but JMU unlike class teams, and fans like ASU, and Mcnesse st are a bunch of jack ass, fckers. So I hope you lose every other game from here on out.

Thanks to everyone (except for the jackass from the previous post).

I know this wasn't as big as App over Michigan, as Michigan was higher ranked at the time and the more storied program, but coming into this season it was 201-1 1978-2009 ranked I-A vs I-AA, with ASU over Michigan being the only victory. So now its 200 something to 2, so this was the 2nd biggest win of a I-AA over a I-A since the split in 1978.

I know the debate will take place on the CAAZone as to what was the biggest JMU victory in school history, the 04' NC or over VT. Guess there's an arguement for each side.

I had thought that even though VT was on a 5 day week, they would be pissed off after their Boise loss and take it out on JMU, and had predicted 44-10. JMU isn't a better team than VT. Could play VT 10, maybe 100 times again and not win again. But on this one day under the circumstances, JMU was better.

I'm in Alaska right now for a week on vacation. Was out on a boat when I found out and about jumped off. If I had known that JMU would have won I would have said to my gf, sorry honey, to the hell with (beautiful) Alaska, and been in Blacksburg...

Good job Dooks :thumb: With us, JMU, Jacksonville St., etc giving the FBS a beatdown periodically they'll maybe begin giving us a bit of respect.

Congrats Dukes!

Why is Mickey actually trying versus FBS these days? He used to roll over and submit in these types of games. :?

One, our guys wanted it. Being skipped over for the state's flagship program has that effect. Two, we started very conservatively to see what Tech was going to do and gradually opened the playbook throughout the game. Our defense limiting Tech was the reason we could even try and do that later in the game. We started the whole thing in true Mickey fashion.

Best sporting event I have ever been to. In the first half we were just happy to stick around, but once we scored in the second we knew we could win it. I don't care what the numbers say, we manhandled them in the second half.

The best is the Hokie fan in the upper right. He looks so stunned.

That's just the meth starting to wear off.

I was at a wedding, just before the ceremony was about to start, when I pulled out my cell phone, looked up the score, saw that JMU had just won and announced it to the people around me. In the span of about a minute the entire wedding crowd was whispering the score to each other. Even the priest was like "WTF??" It was great considering that about a quarter of the people there were VT fans/alums, while another quarter were JMU fans/alums. :thumb:

Oh, and that's not me btw. I would never wear loafers without socks (cuz my feet stink too much as it is). Or a bandana.

Not to be a stickler, but have you seen how bad the rest of the ACC looks again this year? VT very well may find itself in a BCS bowl. :x

Congrats for the Dukes on a huge win!! We were in Kidd Brewer tracking the play-by-play in the 4th quarter once we saw what was happening in Blacksburg. It truly is "Blacksburg" today! It's got to make the in-state conversations between JMU and VA Tech very interesting for the next year or so... :thumb:
