Man arrested for calling for Obama impeachment

So, I suppose you supported the Bush's "Free Speech Zone"....it's nice when the government allows us to use our "rights"....

The government had no role in establishing these rules. A nonprofit organization put on the fair and made the regulations. Not the government. When someone purchased a ticket and decided to enter the fair... they tacitly agreed to follow the rules of the fair. When they broke the rules, they were asked to leave. When they refused to leave, they were forced to leave.

What do you think would happen to me if I brought a 12 foot sign saying "Vote Democratic in November" to the App football game this weekend and stood on the hill holding it and yelling political messages? You think I would last 10 minutes before being ejected? Would my "freedom of speech" be violated for not being able to wield a 12 foot sign wherever I want?

Personally, I think you should be allowed to carry the sign in the game as it's a public university which is typically a bastion of 1st Amendment rights & land is funded by taxpayers, but I concede your point with regard to a private business. But this is a non-profit & I'm wondering the status of the actual land the fair was conducted on. Just makes me wonder when the Fred Phelps clan is allowed to carry hateful signs on public property outside of cemetaries....good debate....

If Fred Phelps and his gang went on cemetery property to protest without permission, they'd probably be arrested.

And my issue isn't with him getting arrested. It's with the amount of force used on a 65-70 year old guy. They treated this dude like he was a drug dealer down on Broadway, or a pimp, or an escaped felon.
